Former Real Madrid manager Fabio Capello spoke about Los Blancos Champions League tie against Juventus in an interview with Spanish newspaper As.

The Italian claimed Carlo Ancelotti’s team reminds him of the Real Madrid he brought to a spectacular come-back to win La Liga in 2007. “They have the same objective we had: winning every game. I think they started to believe in themselves at the Camp Nou. They have a very good coach, very clever. I see in them the same spirit that we had,” Capello said.

The Russia national football team boss praised Los Blancos attitude: “They are fighting together, with heart, and you can see that in the field. Regarding mentality and fighting spirit, they never give up.”

Asked about the tie against Juve, Capello believes “it is completely opened.” “Real have to be careful, because Juve have grate players and is very solid. They know what they have to do. Madrid have great quality, but Modric’s absence is very important,” he added.

Capello is not sure whether Juve will focussed on defending at the Santiago Bernabeu or not: “They can play both ways, I don’t know. It depends on whether they are afraid or if they want to score one more goal. The important thing for me is that Pogba will play.”

Mauricio Pochettino says Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale is welcome to return to Spurs if he decides life in Spain is too tough.

The Welshman remains a favourite on the White Hart Lane terraces having starred for the north London side prior to his departure to Los Blancos in the summer of 2013.

The 25-year-old enjoyed a spectacular opening season at the Santiago Bernabeu, netting the winner in the Copa del Rey final, as well a scoring Madrid’s crucial second goal as they clinched the Champions League and ending the 12-year wait for La Decima.

But this season he has found it tough going and has been the target of plenty of criticism from fans and the media alike.

In quotes published by FourFourTwo, Pochettino said Bale was welcome back any time. “If he is not comfortable in Madrid, we keep his place warm back here. We are open for him,” the Argentine said.

He went on to add that players always need time to adapt to their new surroundings when the move to a new country, and that people should be patient with Bale.

“It is, of course, not easy when you arrive at a huge club like Real Madrid, and the way they play. Gareth Bale has the quality to make a success, he just needs time. When [Zinedine] Zidane went to Real Madrid, the first season was very difficult for him, with a lot of critics. He needed time to adapt.

“The cultures are very different between England and Spain. It is very difficult for English players to arrive in Spain, there is a Siesta, you eat later. It is better when you come from Spain to England, when you go there, you need one or two seasons to adapt.”

Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has announced he and his partner Pilar Rubio will have their second baby in a few months, as the television presenter is pregnant again.

Ramos and Rubio’s first son, Sergio Jr., was born in May last year. The couple have been very happy with their new life, and now they want to give little Sergio a little brother or sister.

The Los Blancos footballer published a message in his Twitter and Instagram account announcing the good news: “Today we want to celebrate with all of you that Sergio Jr. will soon have a little brother or sister.”

Sergio and Pilar have been a couple since 2012, when they fell in love at first sight. A few months after starting dating, they had a crisis and were close to breaking up, but they finally made peace and are one of the most stable famous couples in Spain at the moment.

Born in 1978, Pilar Rubio is a famous TV presenter, actress and model. She’s eight years older than Ramos, although that is not an obstacle for them. In 2009 she was named Spain’s most sexy woman by magazine FHM.

Gareth Bale’s agent has said the player is going nowhere this summer despite the interest of Premier League duo Manchester United and Chelsea.

The Welshman enjoyed a spectacular first season at the Santiago Bernabeu, scoring the winning goal in the Copa del Rey final and the crucial second goal for Los Blancos in the Champions League final in Lisbon.

But he has found the second season tougher at the Santiago Bernebeu and has come under more scrutiny from the fans and media alike. Those critics got louder this week after Bale put in a subdued display in the loss to Juventus in the Champions League semi-final first leg.

Speaking to Sky Sports News, Jonathan Barnett said Bale would be going nowhere this summer as he’s already at the best club in the world.

“Why would he look to go elsewhere? Real Madrid are the number one club in the world. There’s always interest in him – but as far as we are concerned he’ll be at Real Madrid next summer,” he stated.

Manchester United are thought to be keen on Bale with the future of Angel di Maria in doubt following a disappointing season at Old Trafford. Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho also believed to be keen on raiding his former club.

Real Madrid’s assistant manager Paul Clement has been linked with the Newcastle job by the Daily Telegraph.

Interim boss John Carver took over following Alan Pardew’s departure to Crystal Palace in January, but the Magpies are dangerously close to the drop and on their worst run of form since 1977. Moreover, Carver went on an amazing rant at the weekend, accusing defender Mike Williamson of getting sent of deliberately to avoid taking part in the relegation dogfight.

Owner Mike Ashley is expected to dispense of Carver’s services in the summer, and the Daily Telegraph says he is keen to talk to Clement about the manager’s role.

Clement has made no secret of is desire to step up to be a manager one day, and has also been linked with QPR in recent months. A return to the UK could tempt him if it is for a job in the Premier League.

The former PE teacher has spent the last few years working under Ancelotti having met when the pair were at Chelsea. He followed him to PSG where they guided the Parisians to the title, before a switch to Madrid, where they pair masterminded the successes in the Champions League, Copa del Rey, European Super Cup and World Club Cup.

Massimiliano Allegri has expressed his delight with his Juventus players after they saw off Real Madrid 2-1 in the first leg of the Champions League.

But he has warned his team the tie is not over yet and they will need to deliver a masterpiece in Madrid if they are to qualify for their first final since 2003.

Former Real forward Alvaro Morata scored early on to give the hosts the lead in Turin before Cristiano Ronaldo equalised just short of the half hour mark. But Carlo Tevez put the hosts in front from the penalty spot after being tripped in the box by Daniel Carvajal.

In his press conference afterward, Allegri, who guided his side to the Seria A title this season already, stated: “We need to recognise how important this result is. It was a great display from us and we also celebrated winning the Scudetto. We’ve played good football this season. I can only take my hat off to my players.”

He added: “It’s a pity we didn’t get a third,” Allegri said. “There were a couple of moments when we could have done better in attack. In any case, we have laid the foundations. My players showed great personality, effort and determination. But I think if we want to make the final, we’ve got to deliver a masterpiece in Madrid.”

Former Real Madrid midfielder Kaka has come out in support of current Los Blancos forward Gareth Bale after the Welshman came under intense criticism following the team’s loss in Turin in the Champions League.

The holders went down 2-1 against Juventus in the semi-final first leg, and Bale was criticised by both the UK media, with TV pundit Roy Keane particularly scathing, while Madrid-based daily Marca refused to give Bale a rating for his performance.

But Kaka told Sky Sports that the 25-year-old, who has scored for Madrid in the finals of the Copa del Rey, Champions League and World Club Cup, should use the tough times as motivation. He added that even Cristiano Ronaldo gets booed by some sections of the Madrid support, so everyone should be prepared to be criticised.

“I’ve never played with Bale but I would say to him to use the pressure to help himself grow his motivation and confidence,” he commented.

And he went on: “At Madrid, pressure is normal. It’s not just with him, it’s with everybody. Even Cristiano Ronaldo, who has won two Ballons d’Or with Real Madrid, receives whistles from the Bernabeu. He needs to use this opportunity to get stronger. That is my advice for Bale.”

Real Madrid are keeping close tabs on two Paris Saint-Germain footballers, according to reports from France and Spain.

French sports newspaper L’Equipe has claimed Los Blancos and Barcelona are fighting to convince midfielder Marco Verratti to leave Paris this summer.

Verratti has reportedly signed a pre-agreement with Los Merengues, but Barca are trying to make the Italian change his mind, offering him a higher salary.

The 22-year-old is one of Carlo Ancelotti’s favourites and Florentino Perez is ready to make a big effort in order to bring him. Barcelona also see in Verratti a perfect player to cover Xavi Hernandez’s exit. However, their transfer ban will be a big obstacle for the Italian to become an Azulgrana.

Spanish press has also reported Edison Cavani is about to leave PSG and Real could be among the clubs that have made an offer to sign him. Chicharito Hernandez is expected to leave this summer and Los Blancos will need a new striker.

Los Blancos have long been interested in Cavani but right now his high price and his age are the main cause of concern for Real directors. Cavani is surely among the candidates to arrive at the Santiago Bernabeu, but at the moment he’s not Florentino Perez’s first option.

Gareth Bale’s agent has said his client takes no notice of what his critics say, especially when it comes some a ‘failure’ such as Roy Keane.

The former Manchester United midfielder and now TV pundit slammed Bale’s performance in Real’s 2-1 loss to Juventus on Tuesday, saying Los Blancos were essentially playing with 10 men during the game.

Bale has come under some intense scrutiny this campaign for some perceived below-par performances, and has twice had to deal with angry ‘fans’ confronting him as he’s left the club’s Valdebebas training ground. Such has been the ferocity of the criticism that the 91-million-euro signing from Spurs has been linked with a move back to the Premier League this summer.

But speaking to BBC Sport, Jonathan Barnett hit back, saying Keane was a management failure and is in not position to criticise others.

“Why should we take any notice of comments from people who don’t know what they are talking about – and from people who have failed in management. This is only an issue in England. Gareth is at the biggest club in the world. He is one of the best players in the world. He is fine. He only listens to relevant comments. He is 100 per cent focused on Real Madrid,” he said.

Javier Hernandez says Real Madrid are disappointed to have lost the first leg of their Champions League tie and know they have to improve in the return next week.

Real slipped to a 2-1 loss against Juventus in Turin, with former Los Blancos striker Alvaro Morata getting on the scoresheet. Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 54th goal of another sensational campaign to equalise, but Carlos Tevez made it a joyous night for the newly-crowned Italian champions.

On-loan forward Chicharito told journalists after the game that Los Blancos have enough in them to turn the tie around at home next week.

“It isn’t a good feeling because we lost the game, but we fought until the end and the second leg is still to come. With a 1-0 win we’re through. We have to take it in our stride, as something to learn from, and there are no easy teams in this competition,” he stated.

And he continued: “The coach asked us to show the right mindset and to play as we had been in La Liga and against Atlético. The fact that the other team are at home and have an added source of motivation is also a factor. They managed to put in a great match and we have to improve in the second leg.”
