Three Real Madrid youngsters are set to play in the European Under-21 Championship final for Spain against Italy tonight.

Alvaro Morata, Nacho and Daniel Carvajal have all played significant roles in helping the side reach the final.

Spain are looking to defend the title they won two years ago, and win the competition for the fourth time in their history.

Alvaro Morata, who has been linked with a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu, has been one of the stars of the tournament – scoring four times in as many games for Julen Lopetegui’s team.

He netted in the wins over Russia and Germany in the group stage, as well as the comfortable semi-final win over Norway.

Nacho and Carvajal also made appearances in the match against Holland.

Brazilian club Corinthians have rule out a move for Real Madrid playmaker Kaka.

The former World Player of the Year had been linked with a return to his homeland this summer after a disappointing campaign at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The 31-year-old, who signed for Los Blancos for 65 million euros from AC Milan in 2009, has largely failed to live up to expectation during his stint in the Spanish capital.

Speaking to the Gazeta Press, Corinthians director Duilio Monteiro Alves, said: “There is nothing, it’s just speculation. I don’t know where that story came from, but it didn’t start at Corinthians.

“He is an excellent player, no doubt about that, but we haven’t even talked about him.”

Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas has admitted he suffered pre-match nerves in the last few games for Spain having sat out the last four months of the campaign.

The World Cup winner was controversially dropped by former Los Blancos manager Jose Mourinho in January.

Despite not playing since then, national coach Vicente del Bosque selected him in Spain’s Confederations Cup squad.

In an interview with Marca, Casillas said he had got used to the idea of not being included in the starting eleven and that he felt some pre-match jitters in the warm up games.

He stated: “It’s important to get a couple of games under your belt because you feel more comfortable. I got nervous before the games because I hadn’t played for a long time and everyone is looking at you. But I’m happy because it all turned out well.”

The 32-year-old stopper added that the lack of playing time at Real Madrid meant he was approaching the Confederations Cup in a different way to how he has prepared for other competitions with the national side.

“When you haven’t played for a while, it’s not the same as for those teammates who have done so. The gaffer has been looking at each player’s condition over the last few weeks and I’ve tried to match the others. I’ve been at a disadvantage because of the last four months or so without playing,” he said.

Luis Suarez could get his wish and become a Real Madrid player this summer – but only if Los Blancos are willing to let Alvaro Morata head to Liverpool in exchange, according to the Mirror.

The Uruguayan star has made no secret of his desire to move to the Santiago Bernabeu this year having declared in interviews that it has been his dream to pull on the famous white shirt.

He has also complained about how the British press has treated him during his time in the UK and how life is now difficult for him and his family.

The paper said Suarez’s continued attempts to leave may eventually come to fruition but only if Los Blancos allow Morata to move to Anfield in a cash-plus-player deal.

The 20-year-old forward has been one of the stars of Spain’s European Under-21 Championship side with his four goals helping them to the final, where they face Italy.

Liverpool are confident a deal can be reached given that Morata has stated he would seek a move should Real Madrid buy a big name striker this summer.

Freddy Rincon was the first Colombian to play for Real Madrid. He arrived at the Santiago Bernabeu from Napoli in the 1995/96 season. Defined as one of the rising stars in international football, there was a lot of expectation surrounding him.

However, his transfer has always been remembered by Real fans as one of the biggest failures in the history of the club. After one year in which he played 19 games and scored two goals, he was sold to Brazilian Palmeiras.

After that, he would have a long career in Brazilian football, playing for Corinthians, Santos and Cruzeiro, even beating Real Madrid in the 2000 FIFA Club World Cup to win the trophy for Corinthians.

Apart from his stay at Real, he had a successful career, winning two Colombian leagues, one Colombian Cup and four Brazilian league titles. Plus, he was the leader of one of the greatest generations of Colombia national team that qualified for three World Cups in a row.

But, what happened to him after he retired in 2004?

Well, things have not been easy for him outside football. In 2007, he was linked to Pablo Joaquín Rayo Montano’s organization, one of the biggest drug dealers in South America.

After Montano’s detention in Brazil in 2006, investigations by Panama’s public prosecutor’s office revealed that Rincon could have been involved in a crime of money laundering.

Interpol’s international arrest order against Rincon

Interpol issued an international arrest order against him and Rincon was sent to jail in Brazil. He was released after 123 days, having given proof of his properties and businesses.

However, Panama’s public prosecutor didn’t stop investigating him. The court absolved 20 of the 96 people accused in the case, but Rincon was one of the 76 still waiting for a new trial.

After a new trial this year, Rincon’s implication in the case was confirmed and a new arrest order was released.

He never denied his friendship with Montano, but has always maintained that all his wealth and properties come from his earnings as football players and from bank credits.

He is now living with his family in Cali at a friend’s house, while his apartment is being remodelled. He is still in constant talks with his lawyers to try to resolve his problems with Panamanian justice.

Real Madrid legend Zinedine Zidane has urged Gareth Bale to hand in a transfer request at Spurs to force a move to La Liga.

Over the past few weeks a number of Los Blancos players have spoken publicly about how the Welshman would be a strong addition to the squad.

Club president Florentino Perez has also spoken of his desire to sign the winger, and media suggestions have said the Santiago Bernabeu club could bid as much as 85 million euros for Bale.

Manchester Unted and Manchester City are also rumoured to be interested in the player – and Zidane said Bale should now force the issue.

The Sunday People newspaper quoted the World Cup winner as saying:  “I think Real Madrid have made their admiration of Gareth Bale very clear – and it has been made clear that we would not be put off by the cost of the player.

“But if Gareth feels now is the time to move then he has to have a private discussion with his club and express that he wants to leave.”

New Monaco defender Ricardo Carvalho has said his former Real Madrid teammate Cristiano Ronaldo will not be joining him at the Ligue 1 side or return to the Premier League with Manchester United.

Carvalho said Ronaldo will reject offers that come his way this summer in favour of signing a new deal at the Santiago Bernabeu – something that will boost Los Blancos ahead of the new campaign.

In an interview with Macra, he said: “The president is doing everything he can for Cristiano to sign a new contract and he’ll stay.”

Carvalho also spoke of the disappointment of the last campaign in which Los Blancos finished second in the league, lost the Copa del Rey final, and were dumped out of the Champions League at the semi-final stage.

He stated: “We felt that we didn’t end the season well. When we should have been stronger, we weren’t.”

Arsenal has taken a step forward to win the race to sign Real Madrid forward Gonzalo Higuain, after agreeing to pay the 30 million Euros that Los Blancos were requesting.

After Juventus failed to make an offer that would satisfy Florentino Perez, the Gunners, who are desperate to bring in a prolific striker, would have pledged to Real’s president requisites.

The talks between Juve and Real had been postponed until Higuain comes back from South America after playing for Argentina’s national team. And Arsene Wenger could have used the opportunity to make the winning offer.

Higuain, who has already admitted he wants to leave Real Madrid, will also have to decide between playing in the Premier League or in the Italian Serie A.

Thus, Juventus could lose another race for signing a world class marksman, after failing to complete the transfers of Carlos Tevez and Stevan Jovetic.

Wenger hopes that the arrival of Carlo Ancelotti at Bernabeu will open the door for Higuain to move to London.
