Real Madrid have set their eyes on talented British 19-year-old Raheem Sterling, sources have told Realmadridnews.com.

The Liverpool winger has had a superb season at Anfield Road, scoring ten goals in 34 appearances and becoming a key player for the Reds to complete their best season of the last few years, even though they blew their title chances at the end.

Sterling played a brilliant game with England in the first match of the World Cup against Italy, and has caught the attention of Los Blancos technical directors, who have been eyeing him for the last few months.

Sterling’s contract with Liverpool expires in 2017, but the North-England side have offered him an extension worth 6.5 million euros a year – he’s now making slightly more than two millions per season.

Los Merengues are looking to reinforce their attack and Sterling could be a much cheaper addition than his team-mate Luis Suarez. The British forward could leave Anfield Road for less than 30 million euros, although Liverpool will not be willing to let him go easily.

Real Madrid directors see Sterling as a player for the future, and they would be open to negotiate a move that would include a one-year loan to Liverpool, in order to cheapen the deal.

Sterling could become the fifth Englishman to sign for Real Madrid, following the steps of Laurie Cunningham, Steve McManaman, Michael Owen and David Beckham.

  1. Are you Marca Lite?
Spread rumours & soften up anybody Real Madrid like a look at?
The Spanish press only have one way of operating it seems.
    NO CHANCE!

  2. The idea that Real will get Sterling for any price this summer is hilarious – Why would want to leave? At Liverpool he is a starter every game, at Real he’d be just another option in cup tie and against relegation fodder in the second half a league matches.

  3. “Loan him back as a sweatner and too make the deal cheaper”

I seriously hope they bomb your stadium, your s**t clubs, with racist fans deserve nothing.

Do you enjoy your 3rd world country using tax money to fund their egotistical football club?

Here’s what you can do, GO F**K YOURSELVES. I’LL SAY IT AGAIN.

GO AND F**K YOURSELVES, LIVERPOOL WILL NOT SELL ANYBODY TO THAT FOOTBALL CLUB.

ON WHAT PLANET IS STERLING WORTH LESS THAN LAMELA, AGAIN, PLEASE BOMB THEIR STADOUM, YOU ARE THE RODENTS OF FOOTBALL.

    • Threats of violence, foul language, unfounded claims of corruption. Lovely to see such an eloquent comment on the message boards. Oh, and Spain is a first world country too. You should probably go back to school and do your homework before airing your idiotic tripe.

      • How is Spain a first world country? There youngsters all leave, they are in huge debt, they aren’t building anything. At best a 2nd world country, propped up by a dying tourism trade. Have you been to Japan, Korea, England, Holland, Belgium, Canada? These are first world counties.

Spain isn’t and has never being a first world country. Here’s a fact, if Spain was a first world country, it would of been able to handle having the Euro, but, like all the other 2nd world European countries, it callosped.

Have you even travelled around Spain? Besides the South its a desert, with no road signs, people driving banged up cars from the 80s, its a joke, and a 2nd world country, EVERYONE IS POOR IN SPAIN.

And yes, How do you think Barcelona and Madrid are funded? Tax moneym to give the poor little people of Spain some plastic to cheer about.

Such a sad country, such a sad club and sad fans. No player should go there, it’s a curse.

        • Hi Frankie. Plenty of basic spelling errors in that post there so you should probably head back to school like I suggested yesterday.

As for Spain being a first, second or third world country, you may want to check your understanding of each. Spain has one of the largest economies in Europe and the eighth largest in the world. So not too bad for what you consider to be a third world country.

I have indeed traveled all across Spain and have been lucky enough to travel around the world too. From the list of countries you mention, I’ve been to England, Canada, Holland and Belgium. I’ve traveled to 50 countries across the world – first, second and third world countries so have a pretty good concept of what’s what.

I was in the south of Spain just last month, and can confirm there are road signs. Not everyone was driving a car from the 80s either. I might add at this point that I didn’t notice a single car without hub caps, something you often see in Liverpool. The south of Spain is absolutely stunning, other than the places where benefit-claiming Brits like to take their holidays using your tax money – places like Torremolinos I’m talking about.

You should take a trip to Spain to explore it properly rather than just visit places where English chavs go.

Spain could indeed handle the euro. It’s still here, so you’re wrong on that as well.

Cheers buddy. Enjoy doing your homework.

          • Lets face a fact here, Spain, is at best a 2nd world country.

Here’s why, they still kill bulls.

That, on top of all the debt, the damaged school system, the general policing, the health care, the way migrants are treated.

What makes Spain a 2nd world country is the mind set of the people, no one cares about your POV, it’s clouded.

You and your private school boy friends will have a good experience no matter where you go, so, who gives a shit about what you have to say?

Spain, to the ground, is years behind other European nations, it is not alone, but, it is near the front of the pack.

Oh, let me tell you a story, my friend was is a car accident, he was 15, he reason it was so bad was because the road didn’t have any barriers, go figure.

He poped the last piece of glass out of his face when he was 19, crazy right, what a great bit of medical practice that was. Oh, and that was is the South of Spain.

You clearly don’t know what you are talking about, but if you really want to try and make a fool of yourself, go ahead.

          • I am not english so do not get offended by my spelling but how can you claim that a contry with around 50% unemployment of young peiple can be á 1 would contry that is á great sign of declining economics and the crime excpesially real Madrids funding is apalling. You ask People to go to school or Have the same traveling exprence like you wich strongly point to privelige and ignorens on you’re part.

          • Heiðar, many 1st World countries had terrible unemployment rates during the worst years of the crisis. The problem with Spain is that we have a huge debt and we’re recovering very slowly, but that doesn’t mean we’re a second world country. If we are undeveloped in some sense, it’s in corruption, but we’ve been fighting hard lately to sack all those politicians who have lead us to this situation.

In many other aspects, we’re even more developed than countries like the UK and Germany: Our public health system is ranked 7th in the world (above Britain and Germany) http://www.businessinsider.com/best-healthcare-systems-in-the-world-2012-6?op=1

So, Frankie Four Fingers, as you can see, doctors are better here than in the UK. It’s pretty clear that you have never been to Spain. I lived two years in London and I had to suffer dirty hospitals with insalubrious carpets and s**t smell.

Again you show that you know nothing when you speak about barriers in roads. Spain is one of the countries with more kilometres of barriers, in fact, motorcyclists are lobbying for the Government to take them out, because there studies that prove barriers cause more deaths than save lives: http://www.change.org/es/peticiones/acabemos-con-los-guardarra%C3%ADles-de-nuestras-carreteras-stopguardarra%C3%ADles

Unless our industries collapse and the GDP falls by 50%, we will still be a 1st World country for many years. Of course there are undeveloped places inside Spain, but just like in the UK or Germany. Madrid has Orcasur, London has Hackney and Liverpool has Anfield Road. No wonder why Sterling wants out of there.

    • You piece of shite. Your f***ing country is the most racist country in the world. You must be from one of those drug shiteholes in the north east. Shut the f**k up and stop sending all your drunken motherf***ing teens to our islands.

  4. Not a sniff of him going anywhere…19 yrs old…englands best player. ..20-30 mill? I rate him more valuable than suarez.

  5. We don’t need a player of those characteristics. We already have the best British player in that position. Let the little guy stay at that crappy team. Or even better, buy him and send him on loan to Everton, just because we can.

      • Lol, what a comment, last year no one was talking about Sterling and now he starts for England.

Your logic is that of an arsehole, you need to clean it because it’s full of shit.

  6. Hahaha! This is hilarious! In what world would Liverpool even consider selling a 19y old superstar for less then £30m?

You don’t clearly understand the value of English homegrown talent for an English club. Adam Lallana 26y old with two seasons in the Premier League that didn’t even start for England against Italy is valued at £30m.
Luke Shaw 19y old left back is valued over £30m.

Sterling was Liverpools best player at the end of the season, better then Suarez. And he is valued over £100m by Liverpool.

Add to the fact that when Liverpool bought Sterling from QPR at the age of 16 they had to drive him home to his mom in London for the first year because he became homesick.

And a loan-back deal would be out of the question. It’s just insulting for a club like Liverpool. They aren’t in the business of developing other clubs players. They only loaned in Moses and Cissokho last season to make up the numbers.

  7. ‘Loan him back’ seriously you are deludided. L’pool are not some Mickey Mouse club. Don’t even get me started on less than 30 mil for England’s best player at the minute.

Is this just to get hits to your site?

  8. Spanish are just completely deluded. Premiership Champions League money doubles next season. Why would any club sell their players to Spain when we are on the brick of becoming so much bigger then the Spanish clubs.

Yes, DOUBLE THE MONEY NEXT SEASON. So that means ALL THE PLAYERS WHO PLAY for champions leage club, yes you guessed it, their value DOUBLES. WHY?

BECAUSE the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE IS WORTH DOUBLE, DOUBLE, ENGLISH CLUBS ALREADY DOMINATE TELEVISION MONEY, NOW, NEXT SEASON, DOUBLE.

    DO YOU UNDERSTAND.

Champions League MONEY, IS DOUBLED. DOUBLED. DOUBLED.

    VALUE OF ENGLISH PLAYERS, DOUBLED.

Have you not been on the internet the last week, Sterling is everywhere, he is worth MORE THEN NEYMAR. MORE. He will make more money for his club then Neymar will because, HE IS ENGLISH.

So lets summarize. DOUBLE THE MONEY NEXT SEASON MEANS, FROM THIS SUMMER, PREMIERSHIP PLAYER VALUES HAVE DOUBLED, YES DOUBLED.

So again, Real Madrid, the deluded Spanish in their 3rd world country, think he is worth LESS THEN FELLANI, YES LESS THEN FELLANI.

    RIDICULAS.

SPAIN, I HOPE YOU ENJOYED YOUR TIME ONTOP OF FOOTBALL.

      • And, I’m correct about everything. So, shut the fuck up.

Sterling for 30 million, you are a idiot if you back this story, you melon head.

What do you have to say, any facts? Any figures? Any details I’ve missed in my evaluation?

What do you have to say you moron?

        • The fact that Liverpool is asking 100 million for Suarez doesn’t mean he’s worth 100 million. The fact that Southampton are asking 30 million for Lallana doesn’t mean he’s worth 30 million. The fact that Madrid paid 100 million for Bale doesn’t mean he’s worth that money. In fact, had he gone to other club, he wouldn’t have cost more than 80.

Check out Sterling’s real market value: 13 million euros. http://www.transfermarkt.com/raheem-sterling/profil/spieler/134425

I think 30 million for him is too much. He’s the typical British player who looks good at 19 but will never do s**t. Same as Wright-Phillips. In one year he’ll be sitting on the bench, and he’ll end up in a s**t club like West Ham. Madrid would make a mistake if they buy him.

          • Manu, thanks for correcting me. You just used that transfer website as a fact for valuation and it’s pretty accurate actually. In other points, you have also claimed Spain has better or as good doctors as England. In my humble opinion, you are correct. Ok, heres some facts for you..

THAT WEBSITE IS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME, FACT ONE.

FACT TWO, THE NHS IS ONE OF THE WORST IN EUROPE. IT’S FALLING APART AND IT’S ALSO IMPOSSIBLE TO GET A DOCTOR TO REFER YOU THESE DAYS. FACT TWO, THE USA ARE BASING A HEALTHCARE SYSTEM OF OUR NHS,A HUGE MISTAKE. THEY SHOULD BASE IT ON YOUR SPAINISH SYSTEM.

REAL MADRID IS FUNDED THROUGH SPONSORSHIP, SHIRT SALES, MERCHANDISING, TV MONEY… UNLIKE MY CLUB LIVERPOOL WHICH IS FUNDING THROUGH SOME AMERICAN DUDE, AND A FEW GANGS.

SPAIN IS A 1ST WORLD COUNTRY, AND I’D LOVE TO VISIT IT ONE DAY.

I’D LOVE TO MEET YOU TO THANK YOU FOR DOING SUCH A GREAT JOB WITH THIS WEBSITE.

WITH KIND REGARDS AND BEST WISHES.

  9. Everyone just get hyped up over nothing. The media is throwing out lots of trash these days as far as transfers are concerned. Lambert’s transfer shows that media knows nothing (until a day before the confirmation). They are like machine guns, spraying all over the place and hopefully one bullet hits.
And if you didn’t realise, their new trend over the world cup is linking every on form player to every good club, especially Manchester United. United will be the worst hit, as the media builds up so much expectation among the fans for world class stars that some heads in the management will roll when they realise they realistically cannot get any due to their current predicament.

  10. Helo Frankie Fat Fingers.

“SPAIN, I HOPE YOU ENJOYED YOUR TIME ONTOP OF FOOTBALL.”

Remind us please, how did that England team do? Are they on top of the world? No.

Again, they fail in a tournament. Ful of the same Liverpool player that waste the chance to win the liga.

jajaja. bye bye Liverpool! Bye bye England!

    • I know! I spoke too soon and am so embarrassed!

England is managed by Roy Hodgson, the man my beloved Liverpool players all stabbed in the back there when he was manager there.

ROY TOLD BOTH HIS MIDFIELDERS TO SIT AND PLAYED ROONEY AS A FLYING NUMBER 10, ROONEY OFFERS NOTHING. AND HENDERSON WASN’T ALLOWED TO PRESS. AND HE’S USELESS ANYWAY!

You are right though about the similarities between England and Liverpool. We absolutely blew it at the end of the season. That draw with Palace. Nightmare! And Stevie G was at it again last night, assisting Suarez with a goal.

Spain actually have some really good young players coming through, so will be awesome again in a couple years. Who knows where England will go when the best you can pick is Henderson and Johnson.

Here’s a fact. Premier League football is about to have so much money and will be so corrupt! Madrid are looking good though and will once again be a force to be reckoned with next season.

      Once again, great website!

  11. We are one World. This is not Important we represent which country ,you know what is important?
The game,How we play The game is important.
The game is not a war between us.The WORLD’s Favorite Game.(not yours or mine)

I wish Raheem Sterling best of luck.
Anywhere he goes. I wish him to perform amazing Games.
