Zidane Expects Ronaldo To Retire At Real Madrid

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has said that he expects Cristiano Ronaldo to stay at Real Madrid for the rest of his career, until the Portuguese superstar is ready to retire. Hopefully that is still a few years away yet.

Ronaldo is constantly linked with other clubs and with the most recent rumour being that super rich Paris Saint Germain will make a bid for him, the Los Blancos boss has shrugged off any suggestion of Cristiano leaving the club any time soon. The reported bid from PSG is expected to come in the summer but it is extremely unlikely that Real would want to sell their star man.

Since signing with Real Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo has claimed 14 trophies with the team and has become the club’s record goalscorer. It has been one of the most successful signings that the club have ever made, if not the most successful.

Zidane Expects No Movement

In his press conference before the game against Celta Vigo, Zidane had this to say on the matter:

“I can’t imagine a Real Madrid without Cristiano, not at all.

“He’s a Madrid player and he wants to finish his career here. I don’t see him playing anywhere else.”

A return to Manchester United has been rumoured for a while but it does seem as if Cristiano Ronaldo is still happy at Real Madrid, and wants to win even more trophies, both collectively and individually. In 2017, Cristiano claimed his fifth Ballon d’Or and he will be looking to add to that record breaking number while still a Real Madrid player.

At 32 years old, it would appear that Ronaldo still has a good number of years left in him at the top level. This is mainly thanks to fantastic conditioning and looking after his fitness throughout his career. We hope that these future years are in the famous white shirt of Real Madrid.
