Alvaro Arbeloa praised his team after Real Madrid’s 3-0 over Eibar in La Liga. In an interview with Spanish television GolT, the Spanish defender claimed “it was a complicated match, because we had important losses, but we have made a great effort and the victory has been fair.”
Los Blancos were never threatened by Eibar and that allowed Carlo Ancelotti to rest importante players in the second half. Arbeloa admitted they played the last minutes “thinking of Tuesday’s game against Atletico de Madrid.”
The right-back was very pleased with the team’s performance: “We have been improving in the last four or five games. Luckily we the team is almost completed, without injured players. We will determine our fate in the next few weeks and we are fine and happy for how things are going.”
Finaly, Arbeloa asked Sevilla a favour, as they played against La Liga leaders Barcelona a few hours later and Los Blancos needed the Azulgranas to drop points: “Every game can be decisive, you never know in which match Barcelona could drop points and we have to focus on winning all the remaining games,” the Spaniard said.
