Real Madrid have announced their squad list for tomorrow’s La Liga match against Atletico Madrid.

Marcelo, Gareth Bale and Pepe will miss the derby through injury, as none of them have been able to recover on time despite previsions that at least the Welshman would be ready.

On the other hand, Karim Benzema has recovered from his hip problems and will be available for this crucial game. The Frenchman will most likely feature from the start alongside Cristiano Ronaldo.

This is the squad that Zinedine Zidane has picked:

Goalkeepers: Keylor Navas, Kiko Casilla and Raul Yañez.
Defenders: Raphael Varane, Sergio Ramos, Nacho Fernandez, Daniel Carvajal and Danilo.
Midfielders: Toni Kroos, James Rodriguez, Casemiro, Mateo Kovacic, Luka Modric, Lucas Vazquez and Isco.
Forwards: Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Jese Rodriguez and Borja Mayoral.

Marcelo already missed the Athletic Bilbao game two weeks ago due to a shoulder injury. Now he is suffering problems in his calf and will be sidelined again. However, the injury doesn’t look serious and he could be ready to face Roma in the Champions League clash next week.

Zidane is more concerned about Bale’s injury. According to reports, the Welshman should have been fit to play two weeks ago, but he is still on the sidelines. At least he has returned to Los Blancos regular training sessions and seems close a complete recovery.

  1. we dont have a couching problem we have too many stars in our team no team spirit each one wants to be the leader they dont know what team spirit is anymore. Get rid of the weaklinks we need players who will play for the love of the game not money and fame.

  2. We have structural defect in the team & I wonder why up to now the president & entire mgt. of the club were unable to spot it.Until we address that defect, we cant’s beat any of top oppositions in Spain &UEFA.That defect is the holding midfield role & a natural finisher as No.9

  3. Where are the sentimental or blind supporters after the derby?you are not saying anything again.management just sacked Mourinho & Benitez as if coaching is the problem. Player mix is where we are getting it wrong,if you like bring 10 Zidane’s, it won’t change anything, but change some of the players
