As we previously informed, Real Madrid had to decide about the future of 11 youngster that last season played on loan in different clubs. Among them were Fabio Coentrao, Cheryshev or Marcos Asensio. Before the month of June ended, the club has already decided what to do with all these players and there are no good news for most of them.
According to As, only Fabio Coentrao has a place in the first squad. Despite not playing a lot in Monaco, the Portuguese defender could be the perfect replacement for Marcelo. Especially, if Los Blancos finally don’t buy Rodríguez (Wolfsburg) or Alaba (Bayern). The problem with the defender are the injuries, because this season he’s been ruled out for several games and, on top of that, he’s missing the Euro.
The future of one of these 11 players is already clear. Denis Cheryshev was sold to Villarreal and will play Champions League with ‘El Submarino’ next season. It was a good deal for both parts.
Now, the other players that might stay at Bernabeu although is very unlikely are Marco Asensio and Diego Llorente. If Nacho finally leaves Real Madrid, Llorente could be the perfect replacement as he performed a really good season at Rayo Vallecano. However, he’s still very young and, ideally, he should play in another La Liga team where he could have more opportunities to shine.
The same applies to Marco Asensio. He played really good for Espanyol as a playmaker but he needs more minutes in the top division. If he comes back to Bernabéu, it’s almost certain that he would spend too many minutes on the bench.
All the other players like Jesús Vallejo, Omar Mascarell, Lucas Silva, Burgui, Mario Hermoso, Raúl de Tomás and Álvaro Medrán should find another club in these days. They are still very young and they need a club where they could play a lot of minutes to develop their game.
