Former Barcelona forward Hristo Stoichkov has said Real Madrid target Gareth Bale showed a lack of respect to his Tottenham Hotspur team mates by skipping training yesterday.
The Wales star is subject of a world record bid by Los Blancos, but was told to report for training as normal by Spurs manager Andre Villas-Boas after being given a few days off last week during which he went to Marbella.
But the 24-year-old failed to turn up at Spurs Lodge, with media reports claiming the PFA Player of the Year is unhappy with his chairman Daniel Levy for holding up the deal.
Bulgaria legend Stoichkov told Onda Cero that Bale had shown a lacked of respect before saying he thought the winger was overpriced.
“Bale has shown a lack of respect toward his Tottenham team-mates by not showing up for training. If Bale is worth €100m, I would have been priceless,” he said.
