Real Madrid will appoint Jurgen Klopp as the new manager at the end of the season, according to reports.

Deutschland Radio claimed the 47-year-old will take over from Carlo Anceotti and will sign a three-year deal at the Santiago Bernabeu. Other media outlets such as Madrid-based daily, AS, have picked up on the story and have reported it.

Klopp announced his decision to leave Borussia Dortmund at the end of this campaign, ending his seven-year association with the club. He has impressed many in the game due to his preference to get his teams playing attacking football. In his time at Dortmund, he has lead the German outfit to two league titles and also reached the final of the Champions League two years ago.

Current boss Ancelotti is set to be relieved of his duties at the end of the season after Los Blancos failed to win La Liga or reach the final of the Champions League. The Italian says he wants to stay in the Spanish capital, but the club directors have been quiet on the subject in recent weeks whenever they have been asked.

According to the reports, Ancelotti would not find himself out of work for long, with former club AC Milan looking to take him back to the San Siro.

  1. Thanks to my fellow responders to this rumor. Thank GOD that i am not the only one that has noticed the ineffectiveness of Carlo ‘s coaching style at Real Madrid. Anceloti should leave coz i don’t see any excuse for the team’s failure. Unadimissible.
