Álvaro Morata is not happy at Real Madrid. Some weeks ago, there were articles saying that the Spaniard has been talking with his former team mates at Juventus. The Italian press published that he was regretting his movement to the Spanish capital and he was willing to go back to Italy.
The situation hasn’t changed in the last few weeks. Actually, it’s getting worse. According to the Spanish radio station Cadena SER, Morata is very angry with Zinedine Zidane and he feels tricked. The coach told him in summer that he was going to be a key part in the squad but his appearances are rare, and he’s not enjoying many minutes with Real Madrid.
Álvaro Morata rejected several offers during the summer, especially some of them coming from the Premier League. Zidane told him that he was going to have minutes and participate a lot in the games. However, this has been proved to be false, because the Spanish striker is always on the bench, whereas Benzema has his confidence despite his drought.
Cadena SER informs that Morata has told his agent to look for another club in summer and he’s been listening to some offers. Juventus, Arsenal or Chelsea are some of the clubs that have shown more interest in getting the Spaniard on board. Will he leave Real Madrid again?
The truth is that Morata has only participated in 12 games in La Liga, playing 632 minutes and he’s been chosen in the line-up in 6 games. In Copa del Rey he has played in 5 games, 3 of them in the starting 11, enjoying 296 minutes. Whereas in the Champions League, he has played 142 minutes and he was once in the line-up.
These are the reasons of Morata’s anger. Actually in the last games he has participated, especially against Sevilla, Morata showed a very poor level. He doesn’t look really focused and the reason might be his disappointment with his current situation.
The way Zidane is handling morata isn’t good at all. Most of us beginning to believe that, he is serving in the interest of french players. If he wants to be doing that, he better go n French national team
Zidane in my opinion has greatly benefitted from luck in that there were many games Madrid either won or drew not because the team played a good game but either due to some luck or ‘unexpected’ individual brilliance from a player. He is one way. He doesn’t give equal opportunity to each player as he claims. He has favorites which he plays even when they are not doing well. There are times Rodriguez and Morata should have been given chance to prove themselves. instead he would opt for Asensio, his golden boy or benzema. I am not saying those players are not good but hey I still have not seen why Asensio should be playing whiles Rodriguez is sitting on the bench. I still don’t understand why he plays Danilo in ‘some’ critical matches. He was more creative as a player than he is as a coach in my opinion.
