Karim Benzema played a great tournament at Yokohama in the FIFA Club World Cup being probably the best Real Madrid player in the tournament. Cristiano Ronaldo won the MVP of the final because he scored a hat trick but we also should focus on Benzema´s performance.

The French striker played really good in the FIFA Club World Cup tournament. In the semifinals he opened the scoreboard against America and in the final he also did it. In the final against Kashima Antlers he showed how a striker can be also a playmaker. Benzema appeared in all the places of the pitch and Cristiano Ronaldo was in great part of the game being the reference in the attack.

Benzema´s mobility is his best quality and in Japan he Japan he showed it once again. In the final he was continually moving, trying to combine with the midfielders with the objetive of opening the Japanese defense. He also opened the scoreboard after taking advantage of a goalkeeper rejection from a Modric shot in a pure striker action. The best Real Madrid moments came when Benzema appeared and when he and all the team relaxed, Kashima started to play good.

We saw Benzema very involved in the match. He fought every ball, he helped his teammates in defense and he always was offering to try to combine lowering to the center of the field. This contribution was very important because it helped a lot to have more possession of the ball when the match was in a very difficult moment.

His talent reappeared again in the extra time assisting Cristiano in the Real Madrid’s goal. This goal was necessary because Los Blancos were having very bad minutes because Kashima were having many chances to score the 3-2. Benzema fought until the end of the match fighting for each ball and pausing the game when it was necessary. Maybe because of his great performance, Zidane did not substitute him and his reward was to stay in the field until the last minute to finish one of his best matches since he is at Madrid.

Cristiano Ronaldo has closed and incredible year, probably the best of his career. The Portuguese Real Madrid star has no limits. In Japan he closed a unrepeatable year. He won three trophies with Los Blancos, Euro Cup with his national team and the Golden Ball. He has been very important in all the titles he won this year being the reference in Real Madrid’s attack and the captain with Portugal national team.

In Yokohama he played a very good match scoring. In the extra time he was the player that gave the victory to Real Madrid. Despite his age, we saw Cristiano physically fit in the extra time showing that the age is not important. We also can highlight Benzema, the French striker had a great performance being probably the best player on the pitch and Cristiano was the one who scored the goals. After the final, Cristiano was proclaimed the best player in the FIFA Club World CUp.

Is the second time that Cristiano wins three trophies with Real Madrid. The Portuguese striker has finished the year very good despite his bad starting season where he began to generate doubts to Real Madrid supporters. His great professionalism and competitiveness make Cristiano always have a winning mentality.

He also won the Golden Ball winning the award with a big difference respect the two other candidates, Messi and Griezmann. Is the fourth Golden Ball Cristiano has won and portably is not the last one.

The year has finished for Real Madrid and the result is very positive. Los Blancos started last season with Benitez and the performance was quite poor. Now with Zidane all has change. James Rodríguez spoke after the victory against Kashima Antlers in the FIFA Club World cup final they played ata Japan. The Colombian midfielder spoke after several weeks of rumors, and he told the media that he has several offers from big teams, which have led him to think about his continuity at Real Madrid. James Rodríguez did not play any minute in the final and he wants to have more minutes at Madrid or in another team.

The Colombian midfielder said after the match ” I can not confirm you that I will continue here, I have offers and I have seven days to think about my future. I am very happen Madrid, but as every player, I want to play more. I’m a bit sad because I did not play any minute in the final, but I’m happy for the title and for the team. This is my 15th trophy in my career”, James Rodríguez affirmed after the match at Japan.

James Rodríguez with the exception of the first yearhas not been in the usual starting 11 in Real Madrid. He always confirmed that his desire is to triumph with the white shirt, rejecting even huge offers from good teams as Inter Milan, Manchester United or Juventus. With these statements many teams will be interested in signing James in the next winter transfer market.

The Colombian midfielder is one of the best technical players in Real Madrid but he only has showed his quality in several games. Zinedine Zidane spoke in press conference after the victory in the FIFA Club World Cup final against Kashima Antlers. Los Blancos had a very tough match but finally they achieved the title and became the best team of the world in 2016. The French manager was very happy with the great year his players had done. He highlighted the great level showed by the Japanese team that fought until the end.

The press conference began with a summary of the year: ” It has been a great year for Real Madrid. It has been incredible and I am very happy with the players great job. It has not been easy, to achieve all this we had to suffer and we have seen it today. The good thing about this team is that they do not give up until the end”, Zidane said about the trophy they won.

Two years ago with Ancelotti on Real Madrid’s bench, they won this trophy at Morocco and after the tournament Los Blancos lowered the level. The journalists asked Zidane if he is afraid of this situation:”I don’t know what happened exactly. That was two years ago. It is good to talk about it, because it can be repeated. Now we are going to rest and after work. I believe in the plays and if we work hard, it will not be repeated. Zidane explained.

The journalists asked Zidane what has been his best moment on Real Madrid bench: “I don’t know what has been the best moment. What we are doing is improving in every aspect. Sometimes we suffer but it’s normal. The good thing is that we are very positive in what we do. We are a very talented team”, Zidane said about his team.

Real Madrid won in the extra time the FIFA Club World Cup final against Kashima Antlers. The team managed by Zinedine Zidane have proclaimed the best team of all the world in the year 2016. Sergio Ramos returned to the line up replacing Nacho in the defense. Los Bancos could achieve the last trophy of the year, closing a great season.

Kashima started the match quite aggressive trying to stop the game rhyme with several fouls. In the 8th minute, Real Madrid opened the scoreboard with a goal of Benzema. Scoring the first goal soon was the most difficult task and Los Blancos archived it in the first chance they had. After the first goal, Real Madrid tried to control the match but it was not easy because the Japanese team were pressing quite good. Around the 30th minute Benzema had the chance to score his second goal but Kushibiki (Kashima´s goalkeeper) did a great save. In the last 15 minutes of the first half, the team managed by Zidane relaxed a little bit and Kashima tied the match just before the half time from a great play of the Japanese team.

Real Madrid started with a better attitude in the second half but in the minute 52 Kashima scored their second goal from a Shibasaki’s great play scoring from outside the box. Los Blancos had to react quickly and only five minutes later Lucas Vázquez did a great play that finished in a clear penalty. Cristiano Ronaldo tied the match from a perfect penalty kick and Los Blancos had many minutes to try to make another comeback.

After Real Madrid tied the match, the Japanese team were focused only in defending and Los Blancos started to have almost all the time the ball possession. Zidane did his first substitution in the 78th minute replacing Lucas by Isco with the objective of having even more the possession. Kashima Antlers had some chances from counter backs and they almost scored the victory goal in the last minutes of the match. The game arrived to the 90th minute and the match was still draw, so it was going to be resolved in the extra time.

Kashima have shown that they are physically fit because they finished the first 90 minutes better than Real Madrid. In the 98th minute of the extra time, Karim Benzema assisted to Cristiano Ronaldo and the Portuguese star scored with a great finish. Kashima almost tied the match from a header but the ball finished in the bar. Just before the first half of the injury time finishes, Cristiano scored another goal, achieving a new hat-trick in his personal his personal account.

Real Madrid won the match 4-2 in a game very difficult game that finished in the extra time. We can highlight the great performance of Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo being both the references in Real Madrid attack. Los Blancos could achieve their third title of the year and they have become the best team in the world in 2016.

Several important teams of the European continent are interested in James Rodríguez. The Colombian midfielder is about to to close a year with a very intermittent participation with the white shirt. James does not give up and “fights” to succeed at Real Madrid, but at lest five European clubs have shown interest in his signing in the recent months.

Juventus are the first candidate for signing James Rodríguez. The actual Italian champion wanted to sign James in the last transfer market, but as the Juventus sport director said :” We have almost zero chances to sign James”. Now they will try again, and after his poor year, maybe Real Madrid will hear some offers.

Another important team who are interested on James is Inter Milan. The Italian team are immersed in a serious sport crisis and Inter aims to sign good players with the objective of being again one of the Top European Clubs. Inter have a an ambitious project that has not been reflected so far in the field.

Manchester United are also in contact with Real Madrid to sign the Colombian midfielder. The British journalist had said many times that United are interested on James. We saw last summer the economic potential Manchester have with the signing of Paul Pogba. The English team need to improve the squad and they are thinking in James to be the playmaker of the team.

Chelsea have improved a lot since Antonio Conte’s arrival in the last summer. The Italian manager is signing good players and Chelsea also need a midfielder who connect the midfield with the attack. Oscar could leave to China for an amount of €70M, and with that money, the English team want to sign James Rodríguez.

Zidane spoke in the press conference before the Final Real Madrid will play tomorrow against Kashima Antlers in the FIFA Club World Cup. The French manager spoke about different topics, highlighting the opponent they have, the technology in football and all the thinnedg he has learned since his arrival at Madrid.

Zinedine Zidane started the press conference talking about Kashima Antlers and what they must do to win the match: This competition is very important for us. We came here to win the trophy. The game is going to be very difficult. Kashima will make it tough, but we are ready. In the last match against America we did not start good, but we are already adapted. Kashima deserve to be in the final. After a week we are looking forward to playing the game and as I said before, we are ready”, Zidane said about Kashima Antlers.

The journalists asked Zidane if the technology continues berating a confusion to all the players:” In the last game it generated a bit of confusion. I think the problem is the time. When you start with something it takes time. It’s good that we want to improve football with technology. We must be patient. My opinion is that if we can improve things we have to do it. No one is going to stop the technology”, Zidane explained his opinion about the technology in football.

The French manager said that he is learning many things since he started to manage Real Madrid :”I’m learning many things, despite I’ve been here only one year. Every day I’m learning something, especially in the games, which are the ones that make you be a better coach. Every game I watch, I learn something. Many teams are interested in Mariano for the next transfer market. The young striker has done great performances in the last games and several teams want on loan Real Madrid striker. Eintracht of Frankfurt are also interested in Real Madrid striker for the next winter market. Fredi Bobic, Eintracht of Frankfurt sport director, met with José Ángel Sánchez in Santiago Bernabéu offices to try to reach to an agreement of Mariano.

With Morata’s injury, Mariano has participated in several important matches with the white shirt. He scored his first official goal in the first leg of Copa del Rey against Cultural Leonesa, where he only played 23 minutes. In the second leg he scored his first hat trick and he showed he has enough quality to play in Real Madrid. In the same week, Zidane decided to introduce Mariano on the pitch against FC Barcelona. He did not participated too much, but with him on the pitch, Sergio Ramos tied the match at Camp Nou. The last match played by Mariano was against Deportivo de la Coruña. Los Blancos needed a goal because they were defeating against Deportivo, and Mariano entered again. Mariano is a good player and maybe is a good idea to let him go on loan to another team until the end of the season. He has showed that he really wants to triumph as a professional and now he only needs more minutes to grow as a player.
