Julian Weigl is the new name for Real Madrid. In his policy of signing the best young players in Europe, Los Blancos board have spotted the talented German player, currently at Borussia Dortmund.

According to the German newspaper Derwesten, Real Madrid is interested in the young player, who will end his contract with Borussia Dortmund at 2019. The club is already trying to extend his contract beyond 2020 but, according to the media, the midfielder is not interested.

The German player knows that Real Madrid have set their eyes on him and he might try to move to Los Blancos. Real Madrid have still pending a FIFA sanction, so the Spanish club might not be able to sign any player in the next two transfer windows.

Julian Weigl was born in Bad Aibling (Germany) in 1995. After spending his youth in the team Munich 1980, Borussia Dortmund signed him in 2015. Last season, he already played 30 games in Bundesliga, 25 of them in the starting line up. Weigl plays as a defensive midfielder and his physical skills are outstanding with 1’86 metres of height.

Real Madrid was reported to have interest as well in the Italian striker Favilli, from Livorno. Apart from Odegaard, signed two years ago, the club is quite persistent in his policy of signing young talented players. And this policy is proved to be right.

Especially with Marco Asensio. The offensive midfielder was signed from Mallorca when he was only 18. After one year on loan to Espanyol, he has shown his talent at Real Madrid and he has secured a place in the first squad.

With Favilli and Weigl, the club has another opportunity to sign young talent as a low price. The risk of failure is lower because the players don’t have the pressure of a big transfer fee on their shoulders.

Los Blancos are living a good start of the season so far. Real Madrid have only played four games so far but everything looks perfect at Valdebebas. The first friendly games of the season gave hope to all Real Madrid supporters because the team performed really well and was able to beat big clubs like Chelsea or Bayern Munich even without the stars.

However, the big test was the European Supercup. Real Madrid have to play the first title of the season without Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema. Zinedine Zidane wasn’t worried about it and the team did a really good job. Los Blancos were lucky as Sergio Ramos scored in the very last minute to go to the extra time, but Real Madrid was better than Sevilla in general and deserved to win the game.

After this trophy, the players showed their joy. They wanted to start the season in the right way and they trust Zidane to guide the project to the goal: win all the trophies.

In one week time, Real Madrid will start La Liga facing Real Sociedad at Anoeta, a very tough team to start the competition with. The team lost several points at the beginning of the previous season and they know they need to be focused since the start of La Liga if Real Madrid want to finally win the title.

For the first time in the season, Zinedine Zidane could train with all the players available. Gareth Bale and Toni Kroos joined the group and they seem fit to start the season in one week time. Cristiano Ronaldo, Pepe and Coentrao are also training but just jogging around the pitch as they suffered different injuries at the end of last season.

Zidane is also concerned about Benzema’s health. The French player forced to play some minutes in the Supercup and now he’s training alone trying to recover.

The last game of the pre-season will be on Tuesday, when Real Madrid face Stade de Reims at 9.30 Uk time, at Santiago Bernabéu. This will be the last test before the start of the season.

Özil left Real Madrid three years ago to win titles and try to lift the Ballon D’Or. Only three years after the dream is over and he has realized that it’s going to be very difficult to fight for big titles with Arsenal, who failed to win the Premier League in the last years and also to go through the final stages of the Champions League.

According to the German newspaper Bild Sport, Özil wants to leave Arsenal. Real Madrid or Bayern Munich will be his desired clubs, however it will b very difficult to accomplish the dream. Bayern boss, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is not very fond of the German offensive midfielder. And it looks quite unlikely that Real Madrid can think in buying back Özil having Isco, James Rodríguez or Marco Asensio in the same position.

Real Madrid sold Özil in the summer of 2013 for a transfer fee of €50M. It was one of the record transfer in the club. Next year, Real Madrid won the Champions League and sold Ángel di María to PSG for even more money.

In his three years at Arsenal, Özil has won two FA Cups and two Community Shields. He has scored 15 goals in these three seasons and he’s been one of the key players for the gunners, especially in his last season.

According to the German newspaper, Özil might accept an extension of his contract this year. Despite not fighting for big titles, the German playmaker is happy at Arsenal. He knows it will be very difficult to jump to Real Madrid or Bayern Munich and still thinks he can win titles with the gunners.

Özil played three full seasons at Real Madrid, from 2010 until 2013, coming from Werder Bremen. In his time spent in Spain he won one Liga, one Copa del Rey and one Spanish Supercup.

Real Madrid think about the future. In the last years, the club has changed the strategy and instead of signing big names, they are trying to bring young talent to be developed inside the club.

One good example of this is Marco Asensio or Martin Odegaard. Real Madrid signed both players two years ago when they were teenagers. Asensio played last year on loan at Espanyol, did great and gained himself the possibility to play for Real Madrid. He showed his skills in the European Supercup with a great goal from outside the box.

Another example, in this case foreigner, is Martin Odegaard. A lot of clubs wanted to sign the Norwegian youngster but Real Madrid went really quick and bring him to Spain. After a couple of years in the second team, Odegaard is ready to play in Europe for some of the top flight clubs. Luckily, if he performs well, he could be able to return to Bernabéu with a place in the first squad.

Following this strategy, Real Madrid is interested in the young Italian player Andrea Favilli, who is owned by Livorno but played last year in the second squad of Juventus. According to Tuttomercato Web, the Favilli’s agent said Real Madrid have already made contact.

“There is something but still nothing is sure. Juventus and both Milan team are also interested in the boy. There is an interest to remain in Italy, right now he just thinks in training with Livorno. Obviously, the rumours about Real Madrid are great. I’ve received calls from Spanish journalists asking me about the issue. We’re very happy”, said the footballer’s agent Vincenzo Rispoli.

So far, Real Madrid have only signed this summer Álvaro Morata, from Juventus. Actually, Los Blancos are looking a lot to Italy this summer as they were also interested in signing Juventus star Paul Pogba.

Los Blancos are working hard these last weeks to finish the squad for the next season. The board is still working in signing new and good players and even Zidane said that more players could be welcome in the group. However, it’s not easy to find good and affordable players so right now the priority is selling or give on loan some footballers.

The last player to leave the club is Marcos Llorente, who will play next season on loan in Alavés, a club recently promoted to the first division in Spain. It would be a great opportunity for him to show his capabilities in La Liga and come back with more experience to Real Madrid.

Actually, Zidane hesitated about the youngster. He did a great pre season tour, showing he was able to step forward. However, there are a lot of competitors in the midfield, so it’s better for Llorente to leave the club and come back when he is ready. Casemiro, Modric, Kroos, Kovacic, Isco or James Rodriguez make the position very crowded.

Llorente’s idea is following Carvajal, Casemiro or Asensio’s steps. This is leave the club one year on loan, play well in his team and gain the right to come back and have a spot in the first squad.

Last year Marcos Llorente played 37 games in Castilla, the second Real Madrid team scoring three goals. He also played 23 minutes with the first team split in two games against Las Palmas and Levante al Bernabéu stadium.

Before Llorente, Real Madrid sorted out this week Jesé’s future. The forward left the club and was presented as a new PSG player. This is the proof that Real Madrid is working very good at developing young and Spanish players. Who will be the next to follow Llorente or Jesé’s steps?

Paul Pogba transfer from Juventus to Manchester United is being one of the shocking movements in the market. The Red Devils paid around £95M to get the French player into Old Trafford. Now, the Italian champions need to find a good replacement for the midfielder.

Juventus already signed early this summer Miralem Pjanic from Roma, a big agreement because the Bosnian showed he has talent to play in a top-flight club in his years in the ‘giallorossi’ team. However, Massimiliano Allegri wants more quality in the midfield to fight in Europe with the best teams of the continent.

For this reason, Juventus are looking into the market for midfielders and Real Madrid have a lot of players in this position. Especially, after Asensio’s arrival the club might think in selling any of his players to make space for the youngster.

In the European Supercup played yesterday, for instance, James Rodríguez stayed on the bench, Isco was substituted whereas Asensio played the whole game. After this performance, some European clubs might think that Isco or James Rodríguez are on sale.

According to the Italian newspaper Tuttosport, Juventus are really keen on signing Isco this summer. The ‘Vecchia Signora’ has prepared a bid for the Spanish playmaker but the price will be high. Real Madrid don’t sell the midfielder for less of €50M, especially with the prices of the market. Los Blancos know that Juventus paid already €90M for Gonzalo Higuaín, a shocking transfer fee.

The Italian media reports that the first bid for Isco would be around €30M, very far away from Real Madrid expectations. Apart from Asensio or Morata, Real Madrid have not bought any big player this summer, so it would be difficult to think that the club is thinking to sell a top player instead. Should the club sell Isco or James?

Sergio Ramos is the man of the finals. He scored in the 93rd minute in Lisbon against Atlético de Madrid to conquer the 10th Champions League. In Milan, two months ago, he also scored the first goal of the team. Yesterday, in Norway, he made it again and scored in the very last minute to force the extra time.

The defender spoke after the game and he tried to explain why he’s the chosen one in the finals: “It’s very important to give everything always. Real Madrid DNA is not only winning, but fighting until the last minute or second. Real Madrid always push you to do it and this is the reason we finally score the goals in the very last minute”.

La Liga is about to start in only 10 days but Sergio Ramos only wanted to enjoy the title: “The most important thing today is enjoy the European Supercup. It looks like it’s a minor trophy but it’s an European title and it’s very difficult to win it”.

Along with Sergio Ramos, one of the main players of the game was Dani Carvajal. In the 118th minute, the right back had still the pace and strength to run, dribble and score the decisive goal.

The Spanish player also wanted to explain how they won the game at the very last minute: “Real Madrid essence is that the club never give up. A goal after the 90th minute and other one in the extra time make us champions”.

Carvajal also said it was very important to win despite all the players ruled out for the game:
“We have a very long squad. A lot of youngsters have hope to triumph and want to give everything to the team. Today everything went well”.

Carvajal missed the Euro 2016 and seemed in really good shape in this start of the season. The proof was the run in the very last minute of the extra time.

Zinedine Zidane was very happy in the press conference after winning his second trophy as Real Madrid manager. In both games, the manager had to suffer until the last minute but the reward was worthy. Two titles in eight months as a coach in La Liga.

Yesterday’s game was very tough. Real Madrid had to play without all their stars and the youngster have to step forward to help the team. Zidane is convinced that everybody is important and, if the players deserve it, they will play a lot of minutes.

One example is Marco Asensio. He was the big news in Zidane’s first official line up in the season. James Rodríguez stayed in bench for the youngster, who scored a cracking goal in the first half. Zidane only spoke good words about the former Espanyol player: “Asensio is going to stay with us. That’s my plan. When he has to play, he does it well and today I’m very happy with his job”.

Asensio played in the midfield together with Casemiro, Kovacic or Lucas Vázquez. Most of the main players were ruled out, including Luka Modric: “We had to make a line up and Luka wasn’t there. I took this decision because I think he can’t play 90 or 120 minutes”, Zidane explained.

The squad is not closed yet. Some players might arrive in these last days and also some other players can leave the club. Zidane is not worried about it: “We have a good squad for sure. If we can’t buy, we are not going to do it. We have a long and good squad, with players with experience and some others very young. The most important thing is the group”, Zidane explained.

The important thing is the group and the coach. Zidane has changed the club in only seven months and everybody looks very happy with the French manager. Actually, the players interrupted the press conference to spread water on top of the coach. He has become the first person to win the European Supercup both as a player and as a coach of Real Madrid.

Daniel Carvajal

Real Madrid won their third European Supercup in their history after beating Sevilla (3-2) in Norway in the extra time. Asensio, Sergio Ramos and Carvajal scored the goals from Los Blancos, who suffered a lot and went to the extra time thanks to another goal in the 93rd minute.

It was a thrilling goal despite being 9th of August. No one could expect that Carvajal had the pace to complete the run and scored the decisive goal in the 118th minute. Before, Sergio Ramos scored another header in the 93rd minute to go to the extra time when the game was completely lost.

Real Madrid started really well in the game. Asensio and Isco combined with success and arrive to the Sevilla’s goal with danger. This good start has the prize with Asensio’s goal. The youngster scored a wonderful from outside the box telling the supporters he wants to stay at Real Madrid and succeed in Bernabéu.

Sevilla didn’t see Casilla and the goalkeeper only had to react with a shoot from Carriço. However, before the half time, Franco Vázquez could draw the game with a good left shot.

In the second half, Real Madrid didn’t see the light. The players seemed very tired and the game started to be quite boring. But the referee whistle a penalty kick in an action with Sergio Ramos and Vitolo involved. Konoplyanka scored the penalty and the second goal for Sevilla. Modric, Benzema or James Rodríguez came into the pitch but Real Madrid didn’t have a chance to score a goal. However, in the very last minute, Sergio Ramos appeared again to score after a perfect cross from Lucas Vázquez. Again, Sergio Ramos saving the team in the 93rd minute.

In the extra time, Kolo was sent off and Los Blancos have a lot of chances. Actually, the referee blew his whistle after Sergio Ramos scored another goal. It was in the very last minute, in the 118th when Carvajal took the ball, dribble several players and scored a fantastic goal.

Real Madrid can celebrate now their third European Supercup and the second title with Zinedine Zidane. The party must continue.

Zinedine Zidane is just one game ahead to win his second title as Real Madrid boss. His first full season as Los Blancos manager starts with a big game already in August against Sevilla to win the European Supercup. It would be the third time the club wins this title.

The French manager is still thinking which players will be suitable for the job. A lot of stars will miss the game and it’s very likely that no one from the BBC will be in the pitch today. Benzema is the only player who has travelled to Norway but Zidane is not sure about his performance.

“Benzema is fine. He didn’t play the last games and we are not going to risk anything. I’m happy he is with us and he has been preparing the season with the squad. The most important thing is that Benzema has not any other issue in the future”, the manager says.

With Benzema in doubt, Álvaro Morata and Lucas Vázquez could be the attackers for tomorrow’s game in Trondheim. Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale didn’t travel to Norway as they finished the season very late due to the Euro 2016.

Despite all these problems, Zidane doesn’t look worried: “I’m not concerned for not having the BBC. They played the Euro and they had their normal holidays after a tough season. I’d rather having the full squad but I prefer that Gareth and Toni could stay in Madrid and work. They just arrived, so it was better for them to say. Pepe and Cristiano are still injured. I’m not worried. I’m happy because the season is about to start”.

Manchester United signed yesterday Paul Pogba and Real Madrid board is still looking for some new signings. However, Zidane doesn’t want to rush: “I’m happy with the squad. We have won with this squad but that doesn’t mean anything. This year we have to show that we are ready. And the first game is tomorrow”, Zidane finished.
