Real Madrid new kit for the season 2016/2017 has been unveiled today in the official website of the club. As you can see, the first t-shirt doesn’t have many new features and maintain the classic white colour and a similar collar. The second t-shirt this year will be purple with a round collar.

The first t-shirt will be used in all the home games and several away games. This time, we can see the classic white t-shirt with the V collar and some buttons. There are also the classic stripes from Adidas, the official Real Madrid brand.

The main news regarding the Real Madrid new kit for the season 2016/17 is the second t-shirt. The club wanted to recover the classic purple t-shirt, very used in the 80′ and 90′. We’ve seen in the recent year the red colour, black colour or grey. This time, Real Madrid and Adidas have chosen the purple t-shirt, always present in the history. In the gallery, we haven’t seen the third kit, so maybe this year Real Madrid will only use these two t-shirts: white and purple.

Keylor Navas and Kiko Casilla will be the two main goalkeepers in Zidane’s squad. They both will wear a yellow t-shirt, similar to the one used in the past years. The t-shirt has also black spots in the shoulders area and match with the gloves used by Keylor Navas in the picture.

The purples colour is also present in the jumpers for training sessions. James Rodríguez is been used for modelling in the Real Madrid site wearing this beautiful piece of fashion.

There is also available the jumper in white. In the pciture, you can see Lucas Vázquez zipping it and wearing it in a fashionable way.

Zinedine Zidane will be supervising the training sessions with his new white jumper. It has black stripes in the side, the classic Adidas touch, and a hood for the few rainy days in the Spanish capital.

All these pieces of clothes are already available in the official Real Madrid shop. Do you like the new kit for the season 2016/17?

Raúl González Blanco is a Real Madrid legend. He won three Champions League, the last one as a captain and scored two goals in the finals -against Valencia and Bayer Leverkusen. Afterwards, the left the club and played for Schalke, where he was able to reach the Champions League semifinals. Now, Raúl is enjoying the life with his family in New York City, where he played for a team and now has a managerial role.

In an interview with the Spanish newspaper As, Raúl talked about all the issues around Real Madrid, including the manager position. Now Zinedine Zidane has taken over Benítez’s role with success but there have been so many coaches in the last few years. There have been 11 managers in the last 13 years: “This is too much. I always say: I’ve had more managers than years playing for Real Madrid. Sometimes, even twice like Capello or Camacho. I think I had 18 or 19”.

Raúl played with Zidane and won with him the 9th Champions League. At that time, Raúl didn’t see the French as a coach: “He wasn’t very talkative. I didn’t see him as a coach. Sometimes you see some players talking about tactical stuff with other players and he didn’t do it. But he had it inside and was a long process. He was in different areas in the club, after with Ancelotti… Finally he decided he wanted to become a coach. Now everybody is very happy. What I can say now is that since he arrived to the first team I see himself as a coach”.

Can Raúl become a coach in the future? “A lot of people around me says I can be a couch. I’m not quite sure yet. I’ll have to listen to the people around me saying that there is a coach in me. Let’s see if he wants to come out or not”.

For sure, it would be very difficult to train Real Madrid. “There is a great media pressure and it’s difficult to handle this dressing room with so many important players. It’s not easy. Zidane has done a great job with that. He had lived that before with Ancelotti”, Raúl finished.

Juventus have lost this summer an important striker like Álvaro Morata and they want to find a good replacement. Especially because Mario Mandzukic didn’t show a great performance in his first season as ‘bianconeri’.

Massimiliano Allegri wants to find a suitable replacement for Morata to fight for the Champions League, as well as for Serie A and Coppa Italia. This year’s goal for Juventus must be the Champions League after reigning in Italy for the last five years in a row.

Alexis Sánchez and Karim Benzema are the two options for Juventus, according to the Italian newspaper Tuttosport. The first option is the former Barcelona player Alexis Sánchez, who arrived to London two years ago. Wenger doesn’t want to get rid of the South American player but the gunners are looking for a big signing in the front line this summer.

If Arsenal finally get a huge player -reports say that Gonzalo Higuaín might arrive-, Alexis Sánchez doesn’t need to stay at the Emirates Stadium. At this point, Juventus could get him for at least €42,5M, the price Arsenal paid to Barcelona.

If this option fails, Juventus want Karim Benzema. According to the Italian newspaper, Morata’s arrival to Real Madrid could open the door to the French player, who scored 24 goals in 27 appearances in La Liga. New goals in the Italian league could be the incentives for Benzema to sign for Juventus. However, it’s very unlikely that after 6 years at a really good level, Real Madrid allow Benzema to leave the club without a top class replacement in the squad.

Actually, it’s more likely that Jesé leaves the club rather than Karim Benzema. The Canarian player wants to stay at the club but there is no space for him if Benzema and Morata finally stays in the front line. Whatever happen, it’s pretty clear that Real Madrid cannot have Benzema, Morata and Jesé in the squad. Too many strikers for one position.

In the last few days, Los Blancos are losing the opportunity to sign two important French players. Firstly, Manchester United offered more money for Paul Pogba and the Juventus player is expected to sign with the Red Devils. And now Chelsea have overtaken Real Madrid in the fight for N’Golo Kanté, the Leicester midfielder.

Chelsea are able to pay the release clause of £20M as soon as possible and get the French team for their squad. Antonio Conte is really interested in the stopper and he has told Roman Abramovich to get him quickly.

However, Chelsea is not the only club in the bid. According to The Telegraph, the Chinese team Shanghai SIPG would have made a bid of £35M for the French international. At this point, Leicester would prefer to sell Kanté to the Chinese team because the offer is higher and they wouldn’t face Kanté in the Premier League but the footballer doesn’t want to leave the European football for the Asian one. He is only 25 years old and Kanté prefers to fight for more titles in his career.

In this way, it’s pretty clear that Kanté will not continue in the Premier League champion another year. Leicester City offered him a new contract with a £100.000 weekly salary but the French player rejected it.

Zinedine Zidane wanted to sign N’Golo Kanté and he was one of his priorities for the next season. The coach knows the squad needs another player with defensive skills apart from Casemiro and another stopper would be needed. Having a look at the market, Kanté was one of the best players available and the price was really affordable.

If Real Madrid also fails to sign Kanté, Los Blancos would have left go both Kanté and Pogba, who is about to sign for Manchester United according to some reports. Valencia midfielder André Gomes was also in the wish list but he has another profile, much more offensive.

Roma have not forgotten Nacho. The Italian club tried to sign him in the last Winter transfer window but Real Madrid denied this possibility. Now, in summer, Roma is determined to seal the deal and get Nacho to the Italian capital as soon as possible.

The Italian coach Luciano Spalletti was very clear about the intentions of Roma: “We are speaking [with Nacho]”, said the coach to the website Tuttomercato. Therefore, it’s very clear now that the Italian club wants to get the deal soon enough to plan the season with the Spanish defender.

Nacho is only 26 years old and he has showed in these season what he is capable of. Nacho has played as a full back or as a right and left full back, so he can cover any position in the defence line.

Nacho arrived at Real Madrid at the age of 11 so it’s a really tough decision for him to leave his house. However, Nacho hasn’t had so many opportunities at Los Blancos, being the fourth defender for Rafa Benítez or Zinedine Zidane. The versatile player only appeared in 15 games last season, far from being important in the squad.

Nacho’s agent is expected to travel in the next hours to Italy to meet Walter Sabatini, Roma managing director. With Antonio Rudiger’s injury, Roma have the need of signing a new defender with quality, especially if they want to qualify to the group stages of the Champions League as the Italian team has to play a preview round.

Real Madrid don’t want to sell Nacho as they know he really feels the club and he has done his best every time the defender had to play. However, they understand Nacho’s position and his difficult situation with the lack of minutes. Will Nacho finally decides to leave Real Madrid for Roma?

Real Madrid have to close the forward line in the next days. The club has decided to keep Álvaro Morata in the squad no matter the offer that might arrive for England. With the former Juventus forward in the team, Jesé’s role is even more complicated that last season.

However, the Canarian striker wants to continue at Real Madrid even if the club keeps Morata for the next season. With that in mind, Jesé would be the fifth striker in the team, behind Karim Benzema, Álvaro Morata, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale. Besides, if Jesé decides to play as a winger, Lucas Vázquez also has priority after the great end of the season.

Last season, Jesé didn’t enjoy a lot of minutes in the first team. He only played 1.252’, the 26,7% of the overall minutes. Rafael Benítez or Zinedine Zidane didn’t trust the striker, who only score a really good goal in the season against Roma in the Last 16 of the Champions League.

Real Madrid is receiving some offers from some clubs like Espanyol and Bayer Leverkusen but the striker wants to fight for a place in the team. He is negotiating a new deal with Real Madrid, the current one expires in 2017 and he earns €1.2M per year, because the club doesn’t want to set him free.

Jesé has to talk with Zinedine Zidane next week, when both finish their holidays. He has a good relationship with the French manager and will ask him openly if he has a spot in the squad.

There is still plenty of time to find a new club to Jesé. Besides, even if the club has decided to keep Morata, there is still the possibility of receiving a great offer that the club cannot refuse and sell him. Jesé has to train hard in this pre-season stage to gain Zidane’s trust and see what happen with his future.

Los Blancos have decided to keep Álvaro Morata for the next season as the fourth striker, after Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema. Therefore, the club won’t listen to any offer arriving from England, Italy or Spain.

According to the Spanish newspaper As, the decision is taken and the striker will not leave the club this summer. The club thinks that Morata is one of the best forwards in the worlds and it will be hard to find a good replacement for him, so it’s better to keep him rather than selling him.

Morata’s agent, Juanma López, visited yesterday the offices at Santiago Bernabéu stadium where he showed some offers coming from Chelsea. The ‘Blues’ are the team showing more interest in the player, especially the coach Antonio Conte, who trained Morata back in Torino two years ago and want to sign him for his new project at South West London.

The club told Juanma López that Morata was not for sale and he should stay the next season at Real Madrid. No matter the offer, the Madrid-born striker will play next year for Los Blancos. The club doesn’t want to risk by selling a young player who is improving a lot in the last few months and miss an international star for the next years.

Actually, Morata played a good Euo tournament, scoring 3 goals in 4 games with Spain. In Juventus he also played a key role in the Coppa Italia title and played really well in the last 16 games against Bayern Munchen in Champions League.

Several Premier League teams have already asked to Real Madrid about Morata’s situation. Chelsea is especially interested but also Manchester City, Manchester United or Arsenal. Atlético de Madrid also showed some interest two weeks ago but the Spanish team received the same answer: Morata is not for sale.

Álvaro Medrán will play the next four season for Valencia CF after closing a deal between Real Madrid and Valencia. The midfielder played last season on loan in Getafe, team that couldn’t stay in first division, so Medrán was looking for a new club in the top división.

Álvaro Medrán made his debut at Real Madrid with Carlo Ancelotti two years ago but he was never in the plans for the club. Actually, last year he was on loan at Getafe, where he suffered an important injury at the beginning of the season. Afterwards, he played a good second half of the season but he couldn’t avoid the relegation zone and Getafe will play next year in the Second Division.

In his time in Getafe, Medrán played 20 games, scoring two goals and giving 499 crosses. He was an important player for José Antonio Pizzi at the end of the season, along with Pablo Sarabia, another former Real Madrid player and also target by Valencia.

Valencia will not play in Europe next season after failing to qualify in a really poor year for the ‘Chés’. Finally, Pako Ayestarán, the coach that was able to beat Barcelona at Nou Camp, will be the manager who will try to bring back Valencia to the top positions and fight for an European position.

This is the second signing for Valencia, after closing a deal with the Portuguese star Nani. Valencia was also interested in signing Denis Cheryshev but the Russian player finally chose to play at Villarreal, where he will enjoy playing the Champions League.

Real Madrid need to find new clubs for a lot of youngsters that should be come back after a year on loan in different teams. With some players Los Blancos are already having some troubles, like Lucas Silva, who failed to pass the medical tests at Sporting of Lisbon.

Former Real Madrid defender Alvaro Arbeloa has slammed France manager Didier Deschamps for not selecting Real forward Karim Benzema in his Euro 2016 squad.

France blitzed through the tournament with ease, with five wins and a draw leading them to Sunday’s final against Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal. However, their free-scoring form deserted them and Portugal – who lost the 2004 European Championships final on home soil to Greece – were able to repay the favour to Les Bleus, thanks to Eder’s fantastic strike in extra-time.

France had plenty of chances to win the game in normal time, but they appeared wasteful with the goal at their mercy. The tournament’s top scorer, Antoine Griezmann, couldn’t convert two headers, while Andre-Pierre Gignac was denied the paludits of a 90th minute winner by the post.

And that lack of a killer instinct was picked up by Arbeloa – who recently left the club for a second time, having reached 237 appearances in all competitions – who took to Twitter to criticise Deschamps for leaving his former teammate Benzema at home.

The 33-year-old tweeted: “That’s what you get for leaving the world’s best No. 9 at home.”

Madrid forward Benzema – who has 27 goals for France in 81 international appearances – was controversially left out of France’s Euro 2016 squad after he was charged by police in November, following his involvement in an alleged attempt to blackmail former French teammate Mathieu Valbuena over a sex tape.

Lyon winger Valbuena has been capped 52 times by his country and, despite Deschamps claiming he was left out because of fitness concerns after suffering calf, thigh and hip injuries during the season, this scandal will also have contributed towards him missing out on representing the host nation at Euro 2016.

It wasn’t all bad in the tweet from Arbeloa though – as he followed up his statement about Benzema with: “Congratulations Portugal, Cristiano Ronaldo and Pepe.”

Cristiano Ronaldo was substituted with tears in his eyes in the Euro 2016 final in Saint Denis against France. It was only the first half but a hard collision with French star Dimitri Payet left the Portuguese player out of the most important game in his national team history.

He knew how important was that game for Portugal and he could avoid to cry before being substituted by Ricardo Quaresma. Cristiano Ronaldo could barely walk and he had several problems in his left knee. The Real Madrid striker finally left the pitch in the 24th minute and he went straight away to the dressing room.

After winning the trophy, the medical examinations showed that Cristiano has damage in the medial collateral ligament in his left knee. According to the reports, Cristiano Ronaldo will be out of the pitches at least four weeks, so he could miss the start of the season with Real Madrid, including the European Supercup.

Real Madrid is facing Seville in the European Supercup in Norway the 9th of August. The traditional recovery for this kind of injuries are four weeks, so Cristiano might not be fit for the first trophy in the season 2016/17. Besides, it’s quite unlikely that the club would risk another injury by forcing him to play against Seville. Keylor Navas is also expected to miss the game after having surgery this summer. Two major blows for Zinedine Zidane’s plans.

Cristiano Ronaldo now will have time to enjoy his holidays before coming back to work. The Real Madrid squad will start next week with the training sessions and to prepare the new season in Montreal but the Portuguese star won’t join the team mates until August. Despite the injury, he has reasons to be happy this summer. Ronaldo won the Champions League and the Euro the same season and he’s getting closer to his fourth Ballon d’Or.
