Zinedine Zidane will display an unusual lineup to face Valencia on Sunday in La Liga, as he will miss several regular starters.

Keylor Navas and Gareth Bale will miss the match through injury. The Welshman is suffering from knee problems. Meanwhile, the goalkeeper has been diagnosed with tendinitis in the achilles tendon of his left foot.

The Costa Rica international will be replaced by Kiko Casilla. Lucas Vazquez is the main candidate to replace Bale, although Jese Rodriguez and Isco could also feature.

Cristiano Ronaldo is also a doubt, as he’s been suffering muscle problems in the past few days, but he is expected to feature. Casemiro and Karim Benzema could return to the starting eleven after recovering from their injuries, although Zidane might choose not to risk them.

In defence, Danilo is expected to replace Daniel Carvajal at right-back, and Raphael Varane will most likely come in to give Pepe some rest. James Rodriguez could also feature to rest Toni Kroos.

This is Real Madrid’s projected starting eleven: Kiko Casilla; Danilo, Ramos, Varane, Nacho; Casemiro, Modric, James; Vazquez, Benzema, Cristiano.

This is Valencia’s projected starting eleven: Alves; Barragan, Mustafi, Abdennour, Siqueira; Parejo, Javi Fuego, Danilo; Rodrigo, Alcacer, Santi Mina.
