Real Madrid achieved the victory yesterday against Sporting Gijón with another comeback in the last minutes. The team managed by Zidane didn’t play their best game, but finally they won with and incredible Isco, who scored two brilliant goals. These are Real Madrid players performance in yesterday’s game:

Kiko Casilla: Kiko Casilla couldn’t save the two shots Real Madrid received in all the entire game. He substituted Keylor between the sticks, showing he can be a good keeper for Los Blancos.

Danilo: He grew with the pass of the minutes. He gave a brilliant assist to Morata in the second goal for Los Blancos and he almost scored in the 61st minute from a header.

Ramos: The captain didn’t rest in yesterday’s game with a Real Madrid with a lot of changes in the line -up. He was the kaiser in the defense, and in the last minutes he played as a striker looking for the desperate 2-3, but finally Isco scored the goal in 89th minute.

Nacho: The Spaniard full back showed several doubts in the first half but he grew with the pass of the minutes. He finished the game without a yellow card that would prohibit him play El Clásico next weekend. He almost scored in the first minutes of the second half but Cuéllar prevented it with a great save.

Fabio Coentrao: He didn’t start good the match but we can say he had a better performance than in the last game he played (Sporting Lisbon- Real Madrid). In the 57th minute Zidane decided to replace him by Marcelo because Los Blancos were loosing the game and they needed the Brazilian left back in the pitch.

James: He was the player who most ran in the squad. The Colombian midfielder had a great chance to show his quality but we saw him that he is not 100& fit. In the 73rd minute he had a good opportunity to score with a long shot from out of the box that almost gave the third goal for Los Blancos.

Kovacic: He played in Casemiro’s position and he didn’t fell conformable during the clash. He showed his tremendous technical quality, able to steal a ball in his own field and reach the opponent box with certain facility. With Isco and James in the midfield, he had to defend more than habitually.

Isco: The MVP of the game. There are no words to describe his performance. He scored the first goal for Los Blancos with a very good play, dribbling two opponents and scoring from a great let footed shot. He was the most active player in the pitch and in the last minutes he gave the victory for Los Blancos scoring his second personal goal with another brilliant play. Now with Bale’s injury, the Andalusian playmaker seems to be his substitute in Tuesday’s match against Bayern Munich.

Lucas Vázquez: He didn’t play his best match with Real Madrid’s shirt. In fact he was substituted in the 70th minute and he was very angry with his performance.

Asensio: He played in the left side of the pitch and he had some chances to score his goal. He was the player who helped Isco to have the ball possession and in the second half, when Lucas left the pitch, he played in the right side.

Morata: Morata is playing really good when he has the chance to be in Zidane’s line-up. The Spanish striker tied the match (2-2) with a good header from a cross of Danilo, showing his great scoring ability.

Marcelo: The Brazilian left back was the first Zidane’s substitution. He entered by Fabio Coentrao in the 57th minute and he helped to do another comeback being very dangerous in the left side of the pitch.

Mariano: He had 20 minutes to show his quality and he had a good chance to score from a cross of James but his header finished above the bar. We saw him very active, as always.

Casemiro: He entered in the last minutes of the match by Kovacic. When Real Madrid scored the third goal he played as a full back.

Isco deserves to play in Bale’s position if finally the Welshman can’t recover for the second leg Champions League quarter finals against Bayern Munich. The Andalusian players did an incredible game yesterday where he gave the victory to Los Blancos in a very difficult game against El Molinón. With Cristiano, Benzema and Bale’s absences, he was the soul of the team, scoring two goals, being the refenrece in the midfield and the MVP in the pitch.

Isco gave a 94% in his passes, he recovered eight ball (being the stopper when Casemiro is not in the field) and was the third player who most ran 10.75 km, only behind James and Asensio. With this great performance many people think the Spanish playmaker must be in Zidane’s line-up against the German side and Barcelona.

Isco is a victim of a system where the BBC is non-negociable. Benzema has confirmed that he has been playing without being fit (5 kilos more) and Bale has been playing during all the season with an injury that prevents him to be 100%. The Welshman is currently having several problems in his ankle and it looks like he will not play against Bayern Munich. With this injury, there is a free position in the line-up and Isco can be the player who occupies that position. Isco has scored more goals than Bale (9) and he has given more assists (5) in La Liga. If we consider all the official competitions Isco adds the same goals as Bale (9), playing 95 minutes less than the Welshman.

These numbers explain why Isco is a bit disappointed with the minutes he is playing this season. In the last month he played really good games highlighting Osasuna, Espanyol, Alavés and Sporting Gijón. Isco doesn’t understand why he usually have minutes in the the regular season and not in Champions League, where ha has only played 77 minutes so far in the European competition. He is not having continuity and it’s normal that the Andalusian playmaker is thinking in leave Real Madrid because he wants to feel an important player in a squad. He is 24 years old and he is playing very good and he feels he needs to play more games and more minutes. In addition, next year there is a World Cup that Isco wants to play and if he doesn’t play with continuity, Lopetegui may not call the Real Madrid player. Do you think Isco should be the player who occupies Bale’s position against Bayern Munich and Barcelona?

Zidane spoke at press conference after the important victory Real Madrid achieved against Sporting Gijón in the31st week of the regular season. Los Blancos won with several changes in the line-up and Isco was the player who guided the victory in another come back. The French manager talked about Sporting Gijón, Isco, who was the MVp of the match, Fabio Coentrao and other important topics.

Zidane started the press conference talking about today’s opponent, Sporting Gijón:” We knew this was going to be a very difficult match because they needed the points. I think we deserved the victory because we had many chances to score more goals. We suffered from the first minute until the end”, the French manager said about today’s opponent.

Isco played really good today and with Bale’s injury he may enter in the line-up against Bayern Munich:” He played really good today. He gave us the victory with his second personal goal. I’m very happy with Isco’s performance, but also with the performance of the rest of the players. He must stay here because this is his team. He deserves to play more minutes. Now we must rest for Tuesday’s match against Bayern Munich”, Zidane affirmed

Real Madrid did some mistakes in the defense highlighting the Sporting’s second goal:”We had several errors in the defense. We were not concentrated in the second goal, despite we talked about it in the dressing room. They had two chances and they scored us two goals”, the French manger said about the mistakes in the defense.

Fabio Coentrao played today from the beginning for first time in all the regular season and this is what Zidane thinks about his performance:”I saw him very well and I’m happy for him. He needed to play and he did a good match, doing what the team needed. I’m glad because he now feels that he is part of the team”, Zidane said about the Portuguese left back performance who was substituted by Marcelo in the 57th minute

Real Madrid won 2-3 against Sporting Gijón at the 31st week of the regular season doing another great comeback. The team managed by Zinedine Zidane didn’t play their best game in the season but finally they achieved the three points that maintains the distance with Barcelona.

Zinedine did many changes in the line-up thinking on Tuesday’s game against Bayern Munich. The French manager decided to introduce the “Spanish Real Madrid” two weeks later after beating Leganés 2-4 with a similar line-up.

Sporting Gijón started really good the match with a lot of intensity and they had the first chances of the match. In the 16th minute the Asturian side opened the score board from a good goal of Cop, unstoppable for Kiko Casilla. Only five minutes later, Isco tied the clash with a brilliant goal. The Andalusian player did a great play, dribbling two opponents and finishing with a powerful shot. After Isco’s goal, Los Blancos started to control the game, having the ball possession with Isco, and Kovacic being the most active players in the midfield. Sporting Gijón were defending with many players in their box and it was quite difficult to create a chances.

Real Madrid had a great chance to score in the first minutes of the first half from a header of Nacho, but in the 49th minute Sporting Gijón scored their second goal from a header of Mikel Vesga. Los Blancos were not defending good and the team managed by Rubi took advantage of Real Madrid’s mistakes. Now Los Blancos had to do another comeback and it was not going to be easy because Sporting Gijón were very focused, defending good. In the 56th minute Zinedine Zidane decided to introduce Marcelo by Coentrao, the Portuguese left back did a very poor match in maybe his last game with Real Madrid’s shirt.

In the 59th minute Morata tied the game with a great header from a good cross of Danilo. Now it was a good chance to score the third goal because Sporting were having several doubts and Real Madrid started to create very good opportunities being very superior to the Asturian side. In the last minutes the French manager introduced Casemiro by Kovacic with the goal of having the balance in the midfield. In the 89th minute Isco scored the third goal with another wonderful goal guiding another incredible come back.

Real Madrid achieved the victory at El Molinón in a very difficult match against a team that defended really good. We can say that the MVP of the game was Isco because besides he scored two goals, he was the player who guided Los Blancos, being the reference in the midfield. Now the team managed by Zinedine Zidane must prepare Tuesday’s match against Bayern Munich in the second leg of Champions League quarter finals before they receive Barcelona in a crucial week for Los Blancos.

Álvaro Morata is not having many minutes this season and many important European teams are interested in his services. The Spanish striker is playing really good when he has the opportunity to enter to the pitch, but with Benzema in the squad, Morata only plays when Zidane does some changes in his line-up. He continues to accumulate offers for the next summer transfer market and if his situation continues this way, he will try to find a team where he can be important. There are two huge English squads that want Morata in their teams next season.

Manchester United: José Mourinho wants to sign Morata for next season because Wayne Rooney and Zlatan Ibrahimovic may leave The Red Devils when the season ends. The Spanish striker wants to be trained by the Portuguese manager and if he finally decides to sign with Manchester United, he will have the opportunity to play in every game, being an important player in the squad. He would also meet again with his colleague at Juventus, Pogba, who can be the person who convinces Morata to sign with the English side.

Chelsea: Chelsea will play next season Champions League and they want to complete their squad with Morata’s signing. Antonio Conte likes the way the Spaniard plays and he already tried to sign him at Juventus (although he arrived after Morata’s departure from Turin) and now he will try again his signing with The Blues. Now they must choose weather to sign Morata or Lukaku, who is the the other striker Chelsea  want to sign when the season ends.

Morata has always said that his desire is to triumph at Real Madrid, the team he supports, but the major problem is that he is not having the continuity he needs to grow as a football player. Despite he is not having many minutes he has already scored 11 goals in La Liga, 3 in Champions League and 2 in La Copa del Rey, accumulating a total of 1129 minutes played in the three competitions.

After the great victory in the Champions League quarter finals against Bayern Munich, Zinedine Zidane spoke at press conference before tomorrow’s match against Sporting Gijón at El Molinón (15:15 UK time). He spoke about their opponent, Bale’s injury, their injuries in the defense and other important topics.

The French manager started the press conference talking about Sporting Gijón, a team that is in these moments in the regelation zone of the table: “They are a team that have level to stay in La Liga. Maybe they had some difficulties during the season but they are a dangerous squad. We know this is a very important clash for us and we will have to play a good game if we want the victory”, Zidane said about their opponent.

Gareth Bale will not play tomorrow and it looks like he will not be recovered for Tuesday match against Bayern Munich: ” He will not travel with the rest of the group for tomorrow’s clash. We must wait to see his evolution but tomorrow he will not play and on Tuesday we will see. It’s a muscular injury in his ankle. I’m worried about Bale because I don’t like to see players injured and it’s even worse if it’s at the end of the season. We can’t do anything, we must wait”, Zidane said about Bale’s injury.

Zinedine Zidane can’t count for this game with Carvajal, Varane and Pepe in the defense and the journalists didn’t doubt on asking what’s his plan for line-up:” We have two important injuries in defense but we have others who are ready to play. We have a very complete squad but it’s true we hare having many injuries, specially in the defense,” Zidane affirmed.

Zidane seemed very proud with the attitude of his players this season and he wanted to show his happiness with them at the press conference:” They always work very hard. Today, in the training I saw the team very focused in the match and playing with intensity. I have a a group of players who are very professional and it’s a pleasure for me to be with them every day”, the French manager said about his players.

Asensio is playing really good in the last games and tomorrow it looks like he will be in the starting 11: He is ready to play. Doesn’t matter if he plays 1, 30 or 90 minutes, he is always available to play and very focus in what he does. I can be proud of him and of the rest of my players.

Real Madrid achieved a very important victory in yesterday’s game against Bayern Munich, winning 1-2 in a very difficult stadium as Allianz Arena. It looked like Los Blancos were going to have a very tough match because in the fist half Bayern played better but with Cristiano’s first goal and after Javi Martínez was sent off in the 60th minute, the team managed by Zidane completed an incredible second half, where they could score even more goals. These are Real Madrid players performance in yesterday’s game:

Keylor Navas: He looked a bit insecure in the match, in fact we think he could have saved Bayern Munich first goal despite the good header of Arturo Vidal. The Chilean midfielder had the opportunity to open the gap from the penalty spot in the last minute of the first half but his shot went above the bar. Maybe because Keylor Navas distracted him.

Carvajal: As Bayern Munich decided to play attacking Marcelo, he felt more free to attack, although he didn’t have many clear chances. He was one of the best players in all the pitch and when the second half started he gave a brilliant assist to Cristiano Ronaldo. After that goal, the Spanish right back played even better and he was continuously attacking, creating a lot of danger.

Nacho: It was a good test for the Spaniard defender. In Bayern Munich’s first goal he didn’t cover very good Arturo Vidal and the Chilean opened the score board. With the pass of the minutes we saw Nacho much more secure and he stole a lot of balls to Muller.

Ramos: He was the kaiser in the defense showing the great moment his living in this season. We saw him very secure and he scored from a header, again, in the very last minute, but he was in offside. The Andalusian captain is finishing the season in a high level and that’s good news for Real Madrid.

Marcelo: He suffered a lot with Robben and Bayern Munich knew that they had to attack to Marcelo because he is not a defensive left back, while Arjen Robben is one of the fastest players in Europe. That also prevented that the Brazilian left back didn’t shine in the attack, but when Javi Marínez was sent off he felt with much more confidence and he grew with the pass of the minutes.

Casemiro: Another incredible match for Real Madrid stopper. He did a very good tactical game, stealing many balls and in many times being the guide of the team. He helped a lot to Marcelo trying to stop Robben, who was being the more dangerous player of the German’s side. With the pass of the time he is being more important in the squad, being the stopper of the team.

Modric: He didn’t touch almost the ball in the first half. He wanted to be the player who had to control the ball, but Thiago Álcantara prevented it, being the player who guided Bayern Munich in the first half. In the second half the Croatian midfielder had more space to receive the ball and we saw him enjoying the match. Zidane replaced him in the 90th minute by Kovacic.

Kroos: He returned to Munich, where he grew as a player after playing for Bayer Leverkusen. He didn’t’ do many mistakes in all match and in the second half he felt more confortable in the midfield. He almost scored the first goal for Los Blancos from a pass from Marcelo but his shot went above the bar.

Bale: We saw the Welshman all the first part was more worried about the physical discomfort he could have, stretching and throwing his hand to the thigh, than the game. He didn’t have his best match and he was replaced in the 58th minute by Asensio. Zidane confirmed that he changed him because he didn’t’ want to risk.

Cristiano Ronaldo: He was the MVP of the match being the player who scored both goals for Los Blancos. The Portuguese star likes to play these type of games and he showed it once again. He reached another personal record being the only player who reaches the figure of 100 goals in European competitions. In last minutes we saw him playing as a striker instead of in the left wing, being something usual in the last games.

Benzema: He was one of the best Real Madrid players in the first half. He almost opened the score board form a great header that Neuer saved it. The French striker is having really good performances in this stage of the season and he looks thinner than in the beginning of the season. He was replaced in the 83rd minute by James Rodríguez.

Asensio: He replaced Bale in the 58th minute and he helped to control the game when Los Blancos tied the match. He is a player with a lot of personality and he can play in every type of games because his very technical player with a lot of character. In the 76th minute he gave the assist of Cristiano’s second goal with a great cross. The Majorcan is growing as a player and he can a be a very important player in Real Madrid’s future.

James and Kovacic: They didn’t’ have time to show their quality because they entered when there was not many minutes remaining.

Cristiano Ronaldo played a really good match yesterday against Bayern de Munich, scoring both goals of Real Madrid that gave him a new personal record. He is the first player who reaches the figure of 100 goals in European competitions, a new record for him. The Portuguese striker didn’t score since October in Champions League and he looked a bit anxious, but finally he reaches such a glorious figure.

The Portuguese striker scored his first goal in Europe on Augost 9, 2005 in a match of the third qualifying round for the UEFA Champions League playing for Manchester United, against Debrecen. After this goal, Cristiano didn’t see the net in the next 32 European clashes with Sporting Lisbon and Manchester United. Since then, he has not stopped scoring goals, reaching the spectacular figure in the recent seasons with Real Madrid. He has scored more than 12 goals in every Champions League edition since the 2011-2012 season. In fact, his has scored his last 50 goals in Champions League in 47 games.

Yesterday against Bayern Munich he scored both Real Madrid’s goals in the victory at Allianz Arena, showing that he likes this competition and that he wants to keep helping Real Madrid. More than 11 years have been enough for Cristiano to achieve this new record in European competitions. The Portuguese striker has won three Champions League (2008,2014, 2016) and two UEFA Super Cups (2014-2016) distributed in his stages at Manchester United and Real Madrid.

It look like Cristiano likes to play against Bayern Munich because he has scored them six goals in five games. Two goals at Santiago Bernabéu in the famous defeat in the semifinals that finished in penalties. He has also scored two goals in 0-4 in 2014 at Allianz Arena in the great Real Madrid’s victory and he scored two goals yesterday that gives him another personal record in his wonderful career.
