Transfermarkt, a web specialized in the football transfer market, has published a list with the five players whose value has fallen more in the market. We can see the Real Madrid player James Rodríguez in this list. Florentino Pérez won’t be very happy to see that James price in the market has fallen down in the last months.

The list consider the price in the market in January of 2016 and the current value. According to transfermarkt, James Rodríguez value in 2016 was €80M and now his price is €50M, so the price has decreased 37.5%. Obviously, the time spent on the bench has affected his price in the market and also his poor performances when he had the chance to play.

This could change in the following weeks. James Rodríguez is doing a great job with his national team -he just scored the decisive goal against Bolivia in the qualification game for the Russian World Cup- and now he could shine with Los Blancos in the end of the current season. He needs to get Zidane’s confidence in order to have more minutes in the important games.

Mario Gotze value has also fallen down in the last month. The former Bayern Munich player went to Borussia Dortmund but he suffered an illness and, at the moment, he’s not able to show his level. Therefore, the value in 2016 was €45M and now is €20M.

Former Atlético Madrid striker Jackson Martínez is another example. His value was €30M, but he failed to succeed with Atlético Madrid and he moved to China. Now his value is €9M playing for Guanzhou Evergrande.

The last players in the list are Wayne Rooney and Radamel Falcao, whose value is €20M and €15M, according to the site. Both values dropped by €20M in the last year. Their age and their low moment have affected their value. However, the Colombian striker is playing now as his best, so this number could rise again.

Los Blancos are targeting two Chelsea stars for the next transfer window. Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois are in Florentino Pérez’s agenda but the signing of both stars would be very hard because both are happy with Antonio Conte. For this reason, Real Madrid could offer James Rodríguez and Álvaro Morata in exchange.

According to the British newspaper Daily Mail, Los Blancos could offer James and Morata to get Courtois and Hazard. Chelsea tried to sign Álvaro Morata from Juventus in the last summer, but Real Madrid had the priority option to get the Spanish striker. Morata is not having many minutes with Zinedine Zidane and Karim Benzema is still the first option in the attacking line, so Morata could think on moving to another big club. If Diego Costa finally leaves the Blues, there will be room for another striker.

Something similar happens with James Rodríguez. The Colombian playmaker is on the bench in the most important games of the season and he wants to play more. Chelsea could be a perfect fit, especially if Hazard leaves. The Colombian has many offers on the table and he has to decide which club prefers or if he still wants to fight for a position with Zidane.

These two interesting players could open Abramovich door. Chelsea were not willing to sell any stars in the summer because they’ve just started a successful project. Antonio Conte is doing a great job in London and most of the players want to continue one year more and play the Champions League with the Italian coach.

Actually, both Hazard and Courtois said several times that they are happy in London and they’re not thinking on moving yet. However, if Chelsea want to reinforce the team with two Los Blancos stars, they might need to sell some of their best players. So the possible exchange Chelsea-Real Madrid could be possible in the next transfer window.

Real Madrid TV showed yesterday a report about Daniel Carvajal. The right forward was interviewed and also his team mates Álvaro Morata, Lucas Vázquez and Nacho. They all came from the young teams of Real Madrid to play at Santiago Bernabéu.

Carvajal commented how he grew up dreaming to play one day for Real Madrid: “I remember the first time I went to the stadium. We had the tickets at the top and I felt vertigo… I thought, perhaps one day I could be up there”, the defender said.

He also remember the day he started with Real Madrid, the day of his first communion: “That day was very special to me because they gave me as a gift the Real Madrid kit and they told me I was going to do the test to go into the club. It was a wonderful day”.

It wasn’t easy for Carvajal. He had to leave and go to Germany to play on loan with Bayer Leverkusen: “The hardest thing was to say goodbye to my parents. I decided to live in Dusseldorf because a former colleague was there, so I wasn’t alone. I missed everything there. I remember the trip when my friends came and the house was very small but we arrange to stay altogether and I brought them to eat paella”.

Obviously, one of Carvajal’s best memories is the Champions League won in Lisbon: “That 93rd minute was key and I think everybody saw the trophy in our hand because of the mentality afterwards. I cried when I saw all my family… I think that there is nothing like the first one and Real Madrid stayed 12 years without winning it”.

He also had good memories of the Champions League won in Milan, although he got injured: “I tried to not risk myself to arrive to the final, but in the game I felt a lot of pain with every pass. I felt it in the 18th minute and in the second half I wasn’t comfortable and I thought not to be selfish and I thought Danilo could do it better. That day was very sad because I knew that the Euro was in the background”, Carvajal regrets.

Isco Alarcón

FC Barcelona want to sign Real Madrid player Isco Alarcón in the next transfer window. The Catalan club has set the Spaniard as his first target for the summer and they’ve even contacted Isco to see if he would be willing to change Madrid for Barcelona.

According to the Catalan radio station Rac1, Barcelona have offered Isco €20M as a bonus if he finally decides to move to Cataluña. Isco’s contract ends in 2018 and he’s not happy with his current situation in the Spanish capital. He’s not enjoying many minutes with Los Blancos and Barcelona are offering him a ‘Galáctico’ status in their club as the perfect replacement for Andrés Iniesta.

Barcelona would be able to offer Isco a five-year contract deal. Isco has to decide whether to stay at Real Madrid and renew his contract or leave the club. Los Blancos won’t allow Isco to leave for free in the summer of 2018. His contract should be extended or they’ll be forced to negotiate a sell, but it will be very difficult to see Real Madrid and Barcelona in the same table negotiating a transfer.

The FIFA agent Jota Jordi told the Spanish TV show El Chiringuito that there have been some talks between Barcelona and Isco: “Barcelona have already talked with Isco. A Barcelona chairman has already spoken with the player. He has always wanted to play with Barcelona and now he has the chance”, Jordi told to the journalist.

Despite not having many opportunities this season with Real Madrid, if Isco finally moves to Barcelona it would be shocking transfer movement. Luis Enrique was the last player who changed Madrid for Barcelona. More recently, we saw Saviola moving from Cataluña to the Spanish capital.

Isco was a very important part in the recent success obtained by Real Madrid. He has lost importance in the squad because of the new arrivals and the change of formation. With three men in the midfield, there is less room for a playmaker with less defensive skills. However, Real Madrid should be worried about Isco leaving the club to go to Barcelona. This is a transfer that Real Madrid shouldn’t afford.

Lucas Vázquez

As the spring sunshine beams across the country, the race for the Spanish title is really hotting up too. Real Madrid and Barcelona are the big two squaring off for La Liga glory, with Real firmly in the driving seat with around ten games to go. Sevilla are still in with a shout, but are probably too far back now and need Los Galacticos to lose three games to have a realistic chance. Can Real finally land their first title since Jose Mourinho’s team of 2012?

Real’s next La Liga game on 2 April is a trip to new boys Leganes, who have picked up just six wins from their first 28 games. Asier Garitano’s team were beaten 3-0 at The Bernabeu back in November and didn’t win any of their first seven games of 2017. After what’s expected to be a routine win against the Madrid-based club, Real have the much more daunting task of the visit of Madrid neighbours Atletico. They may be more than ten points behind the leaders, but Atletico are still a formidable team in defence and would love to take points off their fiercest rivals to dent their title hopes for which they are still favourites at 33/100. Real beat them 3-0 in November but Diego Simeone’s charges won this fixture just over a year ago.

Sandwiched between Real’s Champions League quarter-final with Bayern Munich is a visit to Sporting Gijon, a team seemingly doomed to relegation and without a league win in 2017. Zinedine Zidane’s team beat then 2-1 earlier this season and expect the manager to rest key players in this one. If the clash with Barcelona on 23 April wasn’t always big enough, it now becomes monumental and a potential title decider between La Liga’s top two. The two titans drew 1-1 at the Nou Camp in December, thanks to Sergio Ramos’ late leveller, but Barca only have to go back to December 2015 for their last win at The Bernabeu – a thumping 4-0 victory it was, too.

The games will come thick and fast following what’s sure to be a bruising clash with Barcelona. Real required another late goal from Sergio Ramos to get the better of Deportivo in December, scraping a 3-2 win, so the visit of Pepe Mel’s struggling team should be treated with some caution. So, too, the arrival of Valencia in Madrid at the end of April. It was Los Che that surprisingly beat them 2-1 earlier this season and with little else to play for, Valencia know the pressure will be on Madrid to pick up a win. May begins with Real going to Granada, another team in the drop zone, and one that Zidane masterminded a 5-0 win over in January. Sevilla are next up, a team still in the hunt for a Champions League spot and one of only two La Liga teams to have beaten Real this season. The title may be beyond Sevilla come this point, so spoiling the Madrid party could be the next best option for them. The final game of the league season is at Malaga, with Zidane hoping the title is already in the bag by this time.

As the final games count down, Madrid fans are daring to dream of their first title in five years, especially with Barcelona scooping three leagues in that time. Zidane knows all about La Liga success with Madrid, having won the title as a player with the club in 2003, and could be about to get his hands on the trophy once again.

This summer we will enjoy a great match. We know it’s time for friendly games and pre-season stages in order to get ready for the long season. However, this time we will see one El Clásico in July. It will take place 29th of July in Miami and it will be part of the International Champions Cup.

The game was unveiled on Wednesday in New York City and all the American fans are already crazy looking for tickets. The cheapest ticket costs 200$ and the most expensive one 4.500$. The game will be held in Hard Rock Stadium of Miami, where Miami Dolphins play their game.

This will be the second time in the history that Real Madrid and Barcelona play a friendly game outside Spanish borders. The first one was in 1982 in the Venezuelan President Cup. Real Madrid won the game thanks to a net scored by Vicente del Bosque.

Overall, Real Madrid and Barcelona played 37 friendly games in their history. The last one was 25 years ago, the 11th of September of 1991. The game finished 1-1. Most of these friendly games took part in the first half of the 20th century. With the big rivalry between these two clubs, it’s very rare to see them face to face without anything important in between.

Obviously, this is the first time Real Madrid and Barcelona will play in US soil. We can understand the big expectation that this game has arised between the football fans. Now, the American citizens are able to see their stars during the summer thanks to the International Champions Cup. This tournament started some years ago and the big European teams play against each other during the summer in different American cities. Last summer, for instance, Real Madrid played against PSG, Chelsea and Bayern Munich.

florentino perez

It’s for Florentino Pérez to sign a Galáctico. After a quite summer in 2016, everybody expects a great signing from Real Madrid. FIFA banned Los Blancos to sign any new player in the last winter window, but now Real Madrid are back in the market and many players would be suitable for the nickname ‘Galáctico’.

The list of ‘Galácticos’ signed for Florentino Pérez is very long. Everything started with Luis Figo in 2000. Florentino Pérez was then a candidate to the Real Madrid presidency. He arrived with the signing of Figo, Barcelona star. The goal was accomplished and Florentino won the elections and Figo came to Madrid.

The ‘Galácticos era’ started then. After Figo, Zinedine Zidane, Ronaldo Nazario, David Beckham or Michael Owen arrived to the Bernabéu stadium. Florentino Pérez didn’t stop there. Cristiano Ronaldo was signed in 2009, Gareth Bale in 2013 and James Rodríguez in 2014. But we haven’t seen any big signings in the last two years after the Champions League won by Los Blancos. Now it’s time for a ‘Galáctico’.

In the last weeks, we’ve seen news around Real Madrid transfer market. Eden Hazard, Mbappé, Dybala or David De Gea meet the requirements to be called ‘Galácticos’. These would be very expensive acquisitions but should excite Real Madrid fans for the next project. This big signing would depend on the titles Zidane is able to win this season and the players who could leave Bernabéu in the summer.

Actually, James Rodríguez and Isco Alarcón are the two footballers with more options to leave Madrid in the next transfer window. There won’t be any room for a big player if both stay at the end of the season. Selling Karim Benzema could be another option if a striker is the chosen position to sign, but the French forward is Florentino Pérez favourite player, so it’s quite unlikely that Los Blancos decide to get rid of him in June.

Which player would you sign as a ‘Galáctico’ for Real Madrid?

Mateo Kovacic

Last summer Real Madrid bosses had a very quite transfer window. Álvaro Morata was the most important signing and very few players left the club. However, after the FIFA sanction was lifted, we expect a very busy summer for Florentino Pérez. The first decision should be whether to sell some of the important players in the squad.

Mateo Kovacic is one of the most interesting players for the big European clubs. The Croatian midfielder is still very young -he’s 22 years old- but he has enough experience with Real Madrid and the national team. Kovacic is the 14th player with more minutes in the squad, playing even more than Isco, James Rodríguez or Álvaro Morata.

Nevertheless, Kovacic is enjoying less minutes in the last weeks and he hasn’t been important in the last crucial games, like the Champions League matches against Napoli. Due to this situation, very important European teams want to sign him this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur are very interested in Kovacic and some newspapers speak about a possible exchange with Delle Ali. However, Serie A teams are the ones showing more interest. Especially Milan and Napoli want to sign him, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.

No matter the money offered, Real Madrid shouldn’t think about selling him. Los Blancos bought him in 2015 for €35M from Inter Milán, an important quantity for a very young player. In these two years, he has shown his quality whenever Zidane requested him and he has proven himself to be capable of replacing Kroos or Luka Modric.

It’s almost impossible to improve the midfield line at this moment with Modric, Kroos and Casemiro. But Luka Modric is already 31 years old and, although he’s still one of the best midfielders of the world, his time as a top player could come to an end very soon. And Real Madrid have the perfect replacement at home. Little by little, Kovacic will have more and more minutes in the team and will be able to replace at a high level both Modric and Kroos. For these reasons, Kovacic should stay in the team and Florentino Pérez shouldn’t think twice about selling him.

Mbappe-GI

Kylian Mbappé is the player wanted by all the biggest European teams. The forward shocked Europe in the Champions League tie with Manchester City, where he scored 2 goals. Manchester City, Manchester United, PSG or Real Madrid want to sign him for the next transfer window.

The new Henry is the nickname he received after his great first season with Monaco. Mbappé Lottin is strong, fast and very young. His performances in Champions League and in Ligue One this year made him very interesting for all the big European teams. So far, he has scored 12 goals in 22 games in Ligue One and two goals in the European competition.

According to the Spanish newspaper As, Real Madrid will try to sign him in the next transfer window. Los Blancos bosses think that he will be a world star and they compare him with Thierry Henry or Ronaldo Nazario. They have no doubt that he’ll be successful in Europe very soon.

Monaco have already rejected an offer for €110M from a Premier League club, according to As. The French club thinks that his value will rise after the Champions League quarter-finals round against Borussia Dortmund and the possibility of playing the Russian World Cup with France. Actually, Didier Deschamps has just included Mbappé in the list to play against Luxembourg, where he could make his debut with the national team. He could even have some minutes in the clash France v Spain that will take place next week.

Monaco’s great season is calling the attention of all the major clubs in Europe. Real Madrid eyed also Thomas Lemar, the winger who played great as well against Manchester City. The problem is that Mónaco is a hard-seller team, so Los Blancos would need to pay a really high amount of money if they want to sign either Lemar or Mbappè.

Varane-Sevilla_GI

Raphael Varane got injured the 22nd of February against Valencia, in the postponed game Los Blancos lost at Mestalla. Since then, Pepe and Nacho have been replacing the French full back with success. However, his return is closer and Varane could be ready to play the next 2nd of April against Alavés at home.

The French full back suffered a muscular injury at Mestalla. Varane played a really poor game and, actually, he was blamed for the second goal scored by Valencia that day. Zidane decided to substitute him but it was because he was injured. More than one month later, Varane is still injured, but now he’s training to be ready for the next game.

Didier Deschamps didn’t include Varane in the list to play against Luxembourg and Spain. Therefore, the French defender has time to work at Valdebebas and recover fully from his injury. These are very good news for Zidane because he should have all the defenders ready to face the crucial month of April, when they will play against Atlético Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

When Varane was available, it was Zidane’s first choice to be Sergio Ramos’s pair in the defensive line. The French footballer played all 18 games in La Liga in the starting eleven and also seven games in the Champions League. However, when Pepe and Nacho replaced him, both did it with success and we have to remember that last season the Portuguese played the Champions League final and the last rounds of this competition.

At the moment, Pepe is also injured and he couldn’t play the last La Liga game. However, the full back went with the Portuguese national team and he’s expected to play in the fixtures with Hungary and Sweden. For this reason, Pepe should be available to play with Real Madrid against Alavés so Zidane will have another problem to decide Sergio Ramos’ pair.
