Now the Portuguese star has confessed that he must rest more in order to maintain his physical strength. France Football has announced today the winner of the Ballon D’Or trophy. For the fourth time in history, Real Madrid player Cristiano Ronaldo has won the most important individual trophy in football. The Portuguese star beat Leo Messi and Antoine Griezmann in the votations.

Cristiano Ronaldo also won the Ballon D’Or in 2008, when he was playing with Manchester United. Then, he won the award in 2013 and 2014 with the new name FIFA Ballon D’or because France Football and FIFA gave the prize together. This year, the magazine again gave the award alone to the Real Madrid player.

Cristiano Ronaldo is currently in Japan fighting to win the FIFA Club World Cup, his fourth trophy of the year. The striker won the Champions League with Real Madrid after scoring the final penalty kick and after being the topscorer of the competition. In summer, he couldn’t participate in the European SuperCup because he was injured. And now he also has the chance to win for the second time this trophy, after the one lifted in Morocco only two years ago.

With his national team, Cristiano Ronaldo won the first Euro of the history. The Real Madrid player was the captain of the Portuguese team but, unfortunately, he got injured in the first minutes of the final against France. After a never ending journey, Real Madrid arrived to Japan to play the FIFA Club World Cup. Los Blancos will face América from México in the semifinals on Thursday morning and, luckily, the final on Sunday.

Los Blancos started the trip to Japan on Sunday really early in the morning after beating Deportivo La Coruña in the last minute. Zinedine Zidane spoke in press conference before the first training in Yokohama: “I’m exhausted. It’s normal that we’re tired but we have the hope to win another title. We obey the people who know about this but the tiredness is there. It’s normal”, Zizou affirmed in Japan.

Real Madrid travelled to Japan very happy after another victory in La Liga, although they almost drop two points and some of the best players were resting, like Cristiano Ronaldo: “Nine Spanish footballers played the other day. It wasn’t a risk. I knew what I was doing. You can interpret in that way, but it wasn’t like that”.

After the game, Zidane was happy about the performance of the players: “I like that the footballers who don’t play often train hard to be ready to play, like they are doing. I’m very happy with everybody’s performance”.

The French manager is also happy with Karim Benzema: “He doesn’t play always. He can’t play always well but he’s one of the best players in the world”, Zizou said.

Zidane and the team trained after the press conference in the stadium of Yokohama. It was a soft training session without Sergio Ramos, the hero at Camp Nou and against Deportivo, who got some muscular problems. However, all the players except Gareth Bale should be available to play against América on Thursday.

The intention of Real Madrid in Japan is very clear: “Arriving to here is difficult and Real Madrid are always force to win everything”, Zizou said in the press conference. Therefore, the goal is set and Los Blancos will fight to end the year with the third trophy under Zidane’s management.

Real Madrid will face Napoli in the Last 16 Round of the Champions League. Los Blancos will play the first leg at Santiago Bernabéu and the second at San Paolo. The Italian side won their group with Benfica, Besiktas and Dynamo Kiev.

It wasn’t the best draw for Real Madrid but the Spanish side at least avoided difficult teams such as Juventus or Arsenal. The bad news are that Los Blancos will play the second leg in Italy, in a very difficult stadium like San Paolo. The first game will be played on the 15th of February and the second leg on the 7th of March.

Real Madrid played already against Napoli in the Last 16 Round in the Champions League. It was in 1987-88 and Maradona was playing for Napoli. Real Madrid won at Santiago Bernabéu (2-0) in a game played behind closed doors and famous for the great defence Chendo did to Maradona. In San Paolo, Real Madrid drew (1-1) and got into the next round of the competition.

Real Madrid will face some known faces. Former Real Madrid players José Callejón and Raúl Albiol will come back to Santiago Bernabéu. Napoli lost this summer Gonzalo Higuaín, his best players, but they still have great quality players such as Marek Hamsik or Milik, who is now injured but should be available in February.

However, Los Blancos could be happy about the draw. Last season, Real Madrid beat Roma in the Last 16 Round, another Italian team. The Spanish giants always struggle in Italy but they were able to win Roma (0-2) at the Olímpico. Now, Napoli are out of the first positions in the Serie A table and are still to find the best performance.

Zinedine Zidane decided to make some changes in the line up against Deportivo de la Coruña, thinking in the Club World Cup they must play next week. Danilo played in the right back replacing Carvajal who needed a rest after all the matches he played these weeks.

Danilo Luiz da Silva had yesterday the opportunity he had been waiting for. The Brazilian right back, who missed the games against Barça and Cultural Leonesa by an injury and the last three Champions League because of a technical decision entered in the Zidane’s line up against Deportivo. However, the former Porto player failed in his chance to try to convince Zidane that he can be an important player at Real Madrid.

Los Blancos did not play a good match against Deportivo having different phases in the match where they played quite good with others of total disconnection. The Brazilian right back did not played a good game. He had many doubts in the defense and imprecise in the attack. Real Madrid signed Danilo for an amount of €32M in the summer of 2015, and his performance has not been as expected.

With the match of today, Danilo has played 9 matches in the season so far (six in La Liga, two in Champions League and the fist leg of the Copa del Rey). Despite the high amount of money Real Madrid payed to sign the Brazilian right back, he is Zidane’s fourth option after Carvajal, Marcelo and Nacho.

Danilo is not having continuity an every match he plays he must make a good performance if he wants to keep playing in a huge team as Real Madrid is. Zinedine Zidane spoke in press conference after the great comeback Real Madrid did against Deportivo de la Coruña at Santiago Bernabéu. Real Madrid won the fifteenth match of the regular season against Deportivo Coruña at Santiago Bernabéu. Los Blancos made again an incredible comeback against a team that did a great match. With this victory, Zidane could achieved a new personal record, beating the one Beenhakker had of consecutive matches unbeaten with Real Madrid (35).

The French manager decided to introduce new players in the line up, thinking in the Club World Cup that they will play next week at Japan. Marcelo, Carvajal, Modric, Lucas, Kovacic, Cristiano and Benzema did not enter in the starting 11 and Danilo, Nacho, James, Asensio and Morata had a great chance to convince Zidane to have more minutes in the future.

James started the match playing in the left wing and Asensio played in the right one. Los Blancos started the game trying to control the ball but they did not had many chances to open the scoreboard. In the minute 30 James had the best opportunity in all the first half, but Tyton did a great safe that could prevent Real Madrid’s first goal. The only chance Deportiva had in the first half was from an incredible header of Borges that finished in the bar.

Isco was being the best player of the pitch. The Andalusian midfielder played as a playmaker being the one that connected the midfielders with the attackers. Isco has improved a lot in the last weeks and these are very good news for Real Madrid. In the 50th minute Morata could score the first goal of the match from a great header with a great assistance of Isco.

After the first goal, Los Blancos had many opportunities to score the second goal but when you miss many chances, this can happen. Deportivo tied the match in the minute 63 because Casemiro lost the ball in the defense and Joselu scored from an amazing shot from outside the box. Only 3 minutes later, Deportivo scored the second one with the same protagonist. Los Blancos had to make another comeback but they only had 20 minutes. Zidane substituted Isco by Mariano to try to tie the match in the last minutes, and the youngster tied it in the minute 83 from a fortuitous goal with his shoulder. There was not many minutes left but Sergio Ramos appeared once again, scoring in the injury time and giving another victory for Real Madrid.

Los Blancos had a very difficult match at Santiago Bernabéu but finally they could achieve the three points. Now it’s time to think in the Club World Cup the the team manage by Zinedine Zidane must play next week.
