James Rodríguez is now player of Bayern Munich. Both clubs have made official the agreement after the rumours triggered yesterday about a possible transfer to the German team. The Colombian playmaker will meet again Carlo Ancelotti, who was able to squeeze him and make him triumph in his first season with Los Blancos.

Real Madrid published an official statement in their website: “Real Madrid C. F. and Bayern Munich have agreed to the loan of the player James Rodríguez for the next two seasons, pending the relevant medical check-up. Bayern Munich reserves the right to purchase the player at the end of the loan period”, the statement said.

According to some sources, Bayern Munich will pay €60M in the summer of 2019. The midfielder will earn €6M per season in his new club and he will be Douglas Costa replacement, who will play at Juventus.

James Rodríguez wanted to leave Real Madrid after a difficult season without many minutes. The Colombian playmaker showed a good level when Zidane put him on the field, for instance against Eibar or in El Clásico, where he scored the second goal of the team.

However, James Rodríguez best season with Los Blancos was the first one, in 2014/15, when he scored 13 goals in 29 games in La Liga. In that season, Carlo Ancelotti was his coach and now both will gather at Bayern Munich.

James Rodríguez is only 25 years old and he has a lot of quality to show in his new team. After three season with Los Blancos, he was never able to get a fixed spot in the line-up, which push him to leave the club this summer. However, he showed with Los Blancos that he’s a great player so we have no doubt that Bayern Munich have improved his squad with this acquisition.

TheoHernández-GI

Theo Hernández accomplished his dream of playing at Real Madrid. He is now one of the few players who switched from Atlético to Real in the Spanish capital. The player was unveiled on Monday at 19:30 local time with the president Florentino Pérez next to him.

Only three days after unveiling Jesús Vallejo at Santiago Bernabéu stadium, the president went back to the venue to present another player to the journalists. This time was Theo Hernández, who signed for around €26M with Los Blancos and completed his transfer from Atlético Madrid after one year on loan at Alavés.

“Thank you very much to the supporters and to the players for the reception. I’m happy to be in the best club in the world. I came here to learn from the best players and win many titles. Hala Madrid!”, said the player in the unveiling.

The player spoke about his change from Atlético to Real: “When you are little, everyone supports a team and your dream is playing in the top flight division. I played for Atlético and now I’m here because I chose to be here and it’s the best club in the world”.

Theo also spoke about his offers during the summer: “I had some team and this was the best option because here are the best players and I can grow with them”.

Theo Hernández will be Marcelo’s replacement in the squad as the left back. The French player will get Coentrao’s role in the team, who left Madrid to join Sporting Portugal, but hopefully he is better than the Portuguese. Coentrao couldn’t play many games last season, so Marcelo had to appear in most of the games, with the consequent fatigue. Now he could have some rest during the season, so he can arrive at his maximum to the crucial moments of the year. “Marcelo is the best left back in the world and I’ll try to follow his steps and try playing some games”, Theo said about his new colleague.

In the morning, “Theo Hernández went to the Sanitas University Hospital La Moraleja, where he satisfactorily passed the medical examination prior to his signing for Real Madrid”, the statement released by the club said.

Real Madrid went back to work this Monday without selling any player in the summer transfer market. Pepe left the club because he didn’t want to renew his contract and Coentrao went on loan to Sporting Portugal. There are two unsolved issues yet in the squad: James Rodríguez and Álvaro Morata.

Morata could go to Manchester United but the Red Devils finally hired Romelu Lukaku instead, so Chelsea are now his best option. For James Rodríguez, the possibilities are unclear though. The Colombian playmaker will leave the club according to the bookmakers, but Real Madrid don’t have an offer on the table yet.

Manchester United were also interested in the Colombian playmaker but they don’t seem to be trying to sign him anymore. On the other hand, another club came up with a lot of options. According to the Colombian TV, Caracol Television, Bayern Munich will try to tie him up in the next days.

James Rodríguez is already in Madrid to start the pre-season with the club and fly to the United States. However, the player didn’t want this situation to arrive, because he expected to have his future solved by now. Now, he needs to move quickly in the market if he wants to finish his stage with Los Blancos.

Dani Ceballos’ arrival put James Rodríguez in the sales list. Zinedine Zidane wanted the Colombian to continue in the team, but with his new midfielder there is no space for him anymore. Ceballos is younger and, although he hasn’t showed yet the same as James Rodríguez, the club will invest on the Spaniard instead of James, who said several times he wanted to leave Madrid.

Bayern Munich could be a great option for him. He’d meet again with Carlo Ancelotti, who gave him a lot of confidence in his first season at Real Madrid. Actually, it was James best season, with 17 goals, 18 assists in 46 games.

Álvaro Morata

Manchester United deal with Álvaro Morata was almost done and even José Mourinho called the player to convince him to join the Red Devils. However, Real Madrid didn’t want to accept an offer about €75M from the striker and United finally decided to sign Romelu Lukaku for £75m plus £15m in add-ons. Besides, Wayne Rooney rejoins Everton in a shocking weekend.

It was especially shocking for Álvaro Morata, who was decided to go to Old Trafford. Even his father and his agent, Juanma López, went to the Santiago Bernabéu offices to show an offer from Manchester, but it was finally reject. Even after this blow, Morata is willing to leave the club and he has now another option: Chelsea.

According to Diario As, Chelsea are willing to offer up to €80M, including adds-on. Real Madrid don’t want to let him go for less than €90M, especially because Zinedine Zidane wants to have him on board. Antonio Conte wants Morata to replace Diego Costa in his team and try to fight for the Champions League title after one year of absence. However, the deal won’t be easy, taking in consideration the differences between the two clubs.

It will be easier with the player. They should agree on a four or five year deal and his salary will be raised up to €6M per year. Morata will have the opportunity to join a big club and have minutes fighting for titles, his goal at this point of his career. If he misses Chelsea opportunity, it will be hard to find another club during the transfer market.

He had a lot of offers from Serie A teams, but the Italians clubs have less money and their projects are less interesting. For instance, AC Milan pushed a lot to sign him, but the team is not even playing the Champions League this season. Morata’s experience in the Italian football and his recent wedding with the Italian model Alice Campello could give chances to a transfer to the Serie A.

Álvaro Morata has to rejoin the team this Monday, because Real Madrid go back to work on the 10th of July. On Tuesday they’ll have to travel to the United States and we don’t know yet if the striker will be on that plane. At least, he’ll have to see face to face Zinedine Zidane and talk about his future.

Holidays are over for most of the Real Madrid players. The team goes back to work after one month off, just when they finished celebrating the 12th Champions League for the club. The footballers need to meet this Monday at Valdebebas, the training ground, for the medical tests before travelling on Tuesday to Los Angeles to start the pre-season training.

Los Blancos will have three weeks to be ready for the first title of the season, the 8th of August against Manchester United in the European Supercup. Real Madrid will have the opportunity to fight for six titles, because they will play also the Spanish Supercup and the FIFA Club World Cup.

In order to face all these challenges, Florentino Pérez is signing new players to add even more quality to a very competitive squad. So far, Jesús Vallejo, Borja Mayoral, Marcos Llorente, Theo Hernández and Dani Ceballos are the new signings. All of them very young and talented players with experience in the first division. Perhaps, Kylian Mbappé or other star could arrive until the end of the transfer market.

Talking about farewells, only Pepe and Coentrao left the team so far. The first one ended his contract and left to Besiktas, whereas the left-back joined Sporting Portugal on loan. Álvaro Morata missed his opportunity to join Manchester United -the Red Devils signed Romelu Lukaku-, but he still wants to leave the club. Besides, James Rodríguez is also looking for another team.

Florentino Pérez and Zinedine Zidane will meet before travelling to USA to speak about the future and how to plan the new season. Both met also some weeks ago to talk about the transfer market and about the agreement of his renewal. The supporters are expecting a new deal with the coach after winning two Champions League in his first two seasons as a manager.

Casemiro_Cristiano_Atlético

We can give Carlos Henrique Casemiro a very high grade at the end of the season 2016/17. If Real Madrid won the double, the Brazilian midfielder can take a lot of credit. Since his return after a season at Porto, he has proved himself to be a key player in the line-up. Zidane didn’t count on him when he sat on the bench, but he rectified very quickly and Casemiro is now one of the stars of the team.

Defensively, Casemiro gives a lot of balance to the team. He had no replacement in the squad, so he had to play a lot of games in a very demanding season. Luckily, he was fit the whole season, without important injuries, so he could take part in the most important games of the season. Only Mateo Kovacic could replace him, although the Croatian midfielder has another skills.

Apart from the defensive skills, we have to highlight two superb goals scored by Carlos Henrique Casemiro. The first one in the first leg of the Champions League Last 16 round against Napoli, when he smashed a volley to score the third goal. Then, obviously his most important goal in his career. The second net in the Champions League final against Juventus with a superb shot from outside the box.

Casemiro played 25 games in La Liga scoring four goals, including one in El Clasico, perhaps his most difficult game because he was overwhelmed by Messi’s performance. Also he suffered a lot against Bayern Munich in the Champions League, risking the second yellow card during the game.

Overall, we can say Casemiro is becoming one of the best stoppers in the recent Real Madrid history. Besides, he’s only 25, so he can still improve a lot. It’s very important to highlight that he wasn’t sent off in the season, even if many people criticize his aggressiveness.

Solari-Hernán-GI

On Wednesday, Real Madrid announced Theo Hernández’s signing from Atlético Madrid. Although the French player never made his debut with the city rivals, we can consider that Theo switch from Atlético to Real after the season on loan at Alavés. Now we want to remind you the other footballers who made this difficult change.

The first thing we should say is that Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid keep now a really good relationship. Enrique Cerezo and Florentino Pérez meet often and they had a truce, so no club could steal a player to their rival. For this reason, it was very complicated some deals like the one with Courtois or Sergio Agüero.

There are 21 footballers who changed the side in the Spanish capital. The last one was Santiago Hernán Solari, who played in Atlético from 1998 and 2000 and then he played 5 seasons for Real Madrid, winning 7 titles. We all remember Zinedine Zidane’s volley in the Champions League final in 2002. Solari starts the play with a good pass to Roberto Carlos, who gave the assist to the French star.

Perhaps, the most famous player who change the team was Hugo Sánchez. The Mexican player is one of the best strikers in Real Madrid history and he played at Atlético from 1981 to 1985. In 1986, he joined Real Madrid, where he stayed until 1992.

In this list we can also highlight Paco Llorente, Marcos Llorente’s father. He arrived at Bernabéu Stadium in 1987, after playing two seasons for Atlético Madrid. He always confessed to be Real Madrid supporters, so he ended up where he wanted.

Raúl González Blanco is not included in the list but he also played with Atlético Madrid when he was a youngster. Perhaps, David de Gea is the next Atlético player who could move to the city rivals.

The full list of players is: Caruncho, Luis Belaunde, Francisco González, Triana, Cosme, Luis Olaso, Urcelay, Ochandiano, Eduardo Ordóñez, Losada, Ipiña, Luis Marín, Bracero, Pacheco, Luis Miranda, Luis Martín, Pérez Payá, Hugo Sánchez, Paco Llorente, Joaquín Parra, Santiago Hernán Solari and Theo Hernández.

Real Madrid and Barcelona fought this week to sign Betis player Dani Ceballos. The midfielder shone in the European Championship U-21 in Poland and both giants were accelerating to get him on board. Now, we want to remind you other battles for great, or not so great, footballers.

Vinicius Junior

Real Madrid didn’t want to lose the opportunity to sign the new pearl of the Brazilian football. Although it meant to spend €45M for a 16-years-old player. This time, Real Madrid won the race in Brazil.

Marco Asensio

It was the last race for a player and Real Madrid won. Barcelona bosses cannot forgive themselves for letting pass the opportunity to sign this young talent from RCD Mallorca. After one season on loan at Espanyol, he’s now showing his skills at Bernabéu.

Neymar Junior

One of the toughest battles between the two giants. It looks like Real Madrid were very close to sign him but Florentino Pérez finally discarded the signing and he went to Barcelona for an unknown price.

André Gomes

The former Valencia player showed his skills in the Euro 2016 in France with Portugal. Real Madrid and Barcelona wanted to sign him but the Catalan club was quicker and they spent at least €35M. This year he was heavily criticized.

andregomes-GI

Danilo

The Brazilian footballer confessed in an interview that FC Barcelona tempted here and even Neymar Jr. tried to convince him. He signed for Real Madrid for €30M but now he’s about to leave the club.

Mesut Özil or David Beckham

The German midfield shone in the World Cup 2010 and Real Madrid were very quick to sign him from Werder Bremen. Real Madrid also won the battle with David Beckham, although it was proved to be a mistake. Los Blancos got Beckham and FC Barcelona Ronaldinho. The Brazilian became one of the best footballers of the world.

David Villa

In the long list of players, we can also highlight David Villa. Real Madrid were about to sign him from Valencia, but the negotiations broke at the end. Villa joined FC Barcelona afterwards. Dani Alves or Rakitic also ended up playing in Catalonia although Real Madrid showed their interest.

ceballos-dani-GI

Real Madrid beat FC Barcelona in the battle for Dani Ceballos and Los Blancos have signed the midfielder for the next six years. Florentino Pérez will pay €18M for the transfer fee, so Ceballos will be the third signing of the club after Theo Hernández and Jesús Vallejo, who was unveiled on Friday.

Dani Ceballos plays as a midfielder and he was one of the stars of the European Championship Under 21. Now, he will pass the medical tests on Monday and he will join the rest of the squad the 21st of July in the USA tour, like the other u-21 players –Borja Mayoral, Jesús Vallejo, Marcos Asensio and Marcos Llorente-.

The official announcement will be release shortly. The player chose to play with Los Blancos instead of with FC Barcelona, who try to sign him during this week. The Catalan club received a ‘no’ as an answer from the player even if the president Josep María Bartomeu called him to try to convince him.

Dani Ceballos had to decide between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona, but he wanted to join Los Blancos. Florentino Pérez continues with the policy of buying very young players, so he secures another Spanish young talent. However, it isn’t clear if Ceballos will have a spot in the squad, given the high competence he’ll have to face. Now, Marcos Llorente could leave again the club on loan, because there are many midfielders in the squad.

The footballer is only 20 years old and he played 30 games during La Liga this season. He only scored two goals, against Atlético Madrid and Eibar. Dani Ceballos is a great midfielder, with offensive skills. He was raised playing for Betis and now he’ll have to move to Madrid to achieve his dream of playing with Real Madrid at Santiago Bernabéu.

Real Madrid have done an incredible season winning the double with La Liga, and the Champions League. This was a very difficult task, because Los Blancos had not won La Liga in the last five years and they are the first team who proclaims for second time in a row Champions League winners. Now it’s the moment to evaluate the performance of the players during the season 2016-2017.

This has been a very important season for Raphael Varane. The French full back has become a key player in Zidane’s line up after several years being in Pepe’s shadow. He suffered several muscular injuries during the year and Nacho substituted him in the starting 11, having very good performances and being a player who can fight with Varane for the full back position.

The French player has managed to gain Zidane’s confidence and after several years where Varane performance was not the expected one, but in this season he has been in a high level, showing that he can be one of the best full backs in the world. He is Sergio Ramos perfect pair in the defense and it looks like next season he will play even more minutes.

Varane has played many important games this season. He was included in 36 line ups of Zidane, two more than in the 2015-2016 season (23 in La Liga, 3 in La Copa del Rey and 10 in Champions League). With all these numbers the French full  adds 189 games with Real Madrid’t shirt, 10 goals in six years and a huge of amount of titles with only 24 years old, 11.

We can say that this has bean Varane’s best season since his arrival to Real Madrid six years ago, despite he played really good games in Mourinho’s stage a few years ago. With the pass of the years, and we hope that next season his performance grows even more because he can become in the best defender in the world, if the injuries don’t stop him.
