After the great final Real Madrid played against Juventus, there are many topics to cover. Los Blancos suffered in the beginning of the clash but when Cristiano Ronaldo opened the scoreboard, the team managed by Zidane gained in confidence, being much superior than the Italian side during all the second half. The Portuguese star continues beating records and with the two goals he scored in the final, he has beaten Lionel Messi as the Champions League top scorer in this edition with 12 goals.

This is the fifth time in a row that Cristiano achieves this award, showing that the Champions League is his favourite competition. He also received the MVP of the final, thanks to his great performance in his fifth final in the European competition. With these 12 goals he also has become in the first player to score in three Champions League finals.

It looks like the Portuguese player will receive another award when the year ends. There was a debate with who must win the Golden Ball this year, if Cristiano Ronaldo or Buffon. After watching yesterday’s final, it seems that the Real Madrid striker will receive his fifth Golden Ball because he is currently the best player in the world.

The Portuguese striker spoke after the final, highlighting his great personal season and the great job of the team:” I’m very happy, it has been an incredible season. We won La Liga and the Champions League and that’s very difficult. I arrived well to the end of the season, scoring very important goals, in huge clashes and that makes me feel very satisfied. After this season I can say the I feel like a young player because I’m in my best moment, both physically and mentally”.

Cristiano Ronaldo gave his point of view of yesterday’s final:” It has been a very even game. In the first half Juventus started much better than us, creating clear chances and having the ball possession. But in the second half we were very superior. Maybe we played the best second half in all the season, against a very good team who defends really focused and that has very good players in the attack”, Cristiano said about the final.

Los Blancos won yesterday their 12th Champions League in a great final against Juventus de Turin. The team managed by Zidane did a very complete game, being very superior especially in the second half. Here you can read the Real Madrid players performance in the final.

Keylor: He started the game really focused because Juventus attacked a lot in the first minutes of the clash but the Costa Rican did three really good saves to prevent the first goal of the Italian side. He has shown that he finished the season in a high level and it’s incredible that a goalkeeper who has won two consecutive Champions League doesn’t know for sure if he will continue next year.

Carvajal: He returned from an injury and his performance was really good. He assisted Cristiano in the first goal, with a wonderful pass and he felt very secure during all the clash.

Sergio Ramos: Real Madrid’s captain did a very good game. He was very focused on Higuaín, and he covered him during all the match. He was book in the 30th minute, so he had to control himself, with the aim of not leaving the team with one less player.

Varane: As Sergio Ramos, the French full back felt very secure. He defended really good showing that he is one of the fastest defenders in the world.

Marcelo: He had some problems with Dybala in the first half, but in the second one he improved a lot, being the left side the most dangerous area for the team managed by Allegri.

Casemiro: Real Madrid’s stopper was one of the best players in all the pitch. He scored a very important goal when the match was tied and it looks like he is one of the key players in the squad.

Kroos: The German midfielder played an incredible game showing that he arrived to the final stage of the season very fit. Kroos was the player who guided Real Madrid in the midfielder.

Modric: He took more responsibility in the second half. The Croation midfield is very important for Real Madrid and once again he did a very complete clash. He assisted to Cristiano Ronaldo in the third goal with a great cross.

Isco: Zidane decided to introduce him in the line up instead Gareth Bale. In the first 45 minutes he was a bit a disappeared, but in the second he grew and he became Barzagli’s nightmare. He was substituted in the 82nd minute by Asensio.

Benzema: He didn’t have his best match since his arrival to Real Madrid. The French striker tried to combine with the midfielder, letting Cristiano Ronaldo being the reference in the attack. He was substituted by Bale in the 77th minute.

Cristino Ronaldo: He was the MVP of the final. The Portuguese striker scored two very important goals showing that he arrived to the final stage of the season in his best moment. It looks like he is going to win his fifth Golden Ball, because nowadays he is the best player in the world.

Bale: Zidane had the great doubt of letting the Welshman in the bench or introduce him in the line up. He finally decided to play with Isco from the beginning because Bale was not 100% fit to play the 90′.

Asensio: He appeared once again in an important game. The young Spaniard talent entered to the pitch in th 82nd minute and in the first ball he touched, he scored the fourth one for Los Blancos.

Morata: He entered in the pitch in the last minutes when everything was decided. Maybe we saw his last game with Real Madrid’s shirt.

Zidane spoke at press conference after achieving the Champions League for second time in a row. The French manager seemed very happy and glad with this new trophy. Zidane highlighted the great season, the good relationship with his players, their players performance in the final and other important topics.

Zidane started the press conference doing a summary of the great season: “It has been an spectacular year. It was a very difficult task to arrive until the final and we fought until the end. We did a great job and I’m very proud of my players”, Zidane said.

The game started very even but in the second half Los Blancos played much better being superior to the Italian side:” The first half was very equalize. Juventus started the game with a lot of intensity and we didn’t have the ball possession. In the second half we were superior, that’s true. We played as we always do, having the control of the game and being really dangerous for Juventus defense”, the French manger affirmed.

Florentino said after the final that Zidane must continue in Real Madrid for several years: “I’m not going to confirm that I will stay here for all my life, bu I can affirm that I’m very grateful to the club for the opportunity the gave me. I have a year left here and I think I will continue next season. I’m vey happy in this club, it’s part of my life”, Zidane said about his continuity in Real Madrid’s bench.

One of the keys in this year was the great relationship of the players, something very important nowadays in a club:” I don’t know what’s my contribution in the dressing room. I’m part of this team, where the key is that everyone felt important. Then, when you win, everything is easier, that’s true”, Zidane said about te good relationship of his players.

The journalists didn’t doubt about asking to the French manager about his achievements in his short stage as a manager:” All the coaches that have been here before me are great, I am not going to say that I am the best manager in the world, because that’s not true. I can only say that I love football and I am working very hard to kept enjoying this sport”, The French manager confirmed.

Real Madrid lifted their 12th Champions League against Juventus (1-4) in a brilliant final played at the Millennium Stadium of Cardiff. Los Blancos have not lost a final since 1981 and they showed in this clash why they are currently the best team in all Europe. The team managed by Zidane makes history winning the Champions League for second time in a row.

Zidane decided to introduce his best line up with the great absence of Gareth Bale who was not 100% fit to play the 90′ minutes. Isco was the player who had to connect the midfield with the attack. Yañez, Coentrao, Pepe, Lucas Vazquez and James Rodríguez didn’t enter in the list and they had to watch the game from the stand. This was a very tough decision for the French manager because he had clear four discards, but he had many doubts with the other two. He finally decided to let Lucas Vázquez out of list (as in El Clásico) and James Rodríguez, that seems that his stage at Madrid it’s over.

Juventus started the clash better and they had the first chance of the game with two opportunities of Gonzalo Higuaín and with a great long shot of Pjanic, but Keylor Navas prevented the goals with three very good saves. The team managed by Allegri was playing with a lot of intensity and they were having the control in the midfield with the Bosnian being the player who was guiding all the squad.

After the poor first 10 minutes of Real Madrid, the team managed by Zidane started to have the ball possession, a very clever idea because that was the best weapon to stop the Italian side attacks. In the 21st minute Real Madrid opened the scoreboard of the final in a counterattack with a great play of Carvajal who assisted to Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese striker appeared once again in an important match beating Buffon with a great shot. With this goal it seemed that Real Madrid did the most difficult task, but only six minutes later Mandzukic tied the game with a great bicycle shot, unstoppable for Keylor Navas. With the tie,   Juventus were more confident and they recovered the level of the first minutes of the clash, being superior than Real Madrid and creating chances until the half time.

The second half started very even, with both squads defending really good, without making mistakes. Kroos was being the best player in Real Madrid, confirming that he arrived to the end of the season in a high level. With his passes the team managed by Zidane started to play much better. In the 61st minute Casemiro scored the second goal from a 30 yard shot that took a wicked deflection off Khedira as it flied beyond Buffon into the bottom corner. This was a very important goal because the match was being very equalize. Only three minutes later, Cristiano scored his second personal goal from a great pass of Modric. With these two goals, Juventus seemed very dejected knowing that Real Madrid were being very superior and that it was going to be very difficult to do a comeback.

In the 76th minute Zinedine Zidane decided to do his first substitution, replacing Benzema by Bale, who returned to the pitch after being several weeks injured. Only five minutes later Asensio replaced Isco who played a very good second half, being the play maker of the team and having a lot of mobility. In the first ball the Spanish player touched, he scored the fourth goal for Los Blancos. It was going to be difficult to think that Real Madrid was going to thrash Juventus, but the team managed by Zidane has shown that they can win to any team, despite playing against a side who is one of the best teams defending in the world.

Congratulations to Real Madrid who are the Champions League winner making history, winning back-to-back titles in the European trophy. Los Blancos finish the season winning La Liga and the Champions League in a year that will be difficult to forget for Real Madrid supporters.

Real Madrid will play today the Champions League final and it will be a very important clash because of different topics. It will be the most important game for Los Blancos in all the season but also we can say that we will be able to watch a great duel between the best goalkeeper of the last decades and the Champions League top scorer in history. Many people say that in this game will also be decided who will achieve the Golden Ball, Buffon or Cristiano.

It’s not the first time that these two great players will meet, but never until today they had done it in such a magnitude clash. The Portuguese striker will try to beat the Italian goalkeeper, win the Champions League and become the Golden Ball winner. While Buffon will try to win his first Champions League with 39 years old. The Italian goalkeepers has done an incredible season and if finally Juventus win the trophy they will have achieved all the possible titles they can achieve in this season. It seems that the winner of this match will decide who will win the Golden Ball.

If Real Madrid win today the final, Cristiano Ronaldo would ensure the award to him because he conquered the La Liga and he has been a key player in the final stage of the season, where he has scored very important goals, being the reference in Real Madrid’s attack and having a lot of importance in the team. For the goalkeeper it will be more difficult to win the Golden Ball, because these type of awards are usually given to the players who play in the attack. However, it would be a perfect opportunity to reward not only his long and successful career, also the difficult work the goalkeepers have and that is never recognized by the people. Do you think Buffon deserves to win the Golden Ball?

Zinedine Zidane spoke at press conference the day before a the great Champions League Final at Cardiff against Juventus. The French manager highlighted the clash against the Italian side, Cristiano Ronaldo’s importance, who will be in the line up if Bale or Isco and other important topics.

Zidane started the press conference talking about the second Champions League final they will play in a row:” We are ready for the final because we have worked very hard to arrive here. We are in a great moment but for sure it will be a very tough game. I do not think Juventus will only defend, they have many virtues. We know we play against a great team who attacks very well and that has very good offensive players.”, Zidane said about their final opponent.

The French manager must let six players out of the list and he looked like he was a bit worried about the decision he must take :”That’s a very good question. It’s very difficult to take such a tough decision because there are six players who are not going to dress. It’s part of my job and I will do it with all my conscience, but I can affirm you that we are all in the same boat.” Zidane explained.

The medias asked Zidane how important is Cristiano in the team:” He is a very good person because he knows hot to care his teammates. He has something that makes him a great leader. In fact, if I’d have played with Cristiano Ronaldo, he’d have been the star, because he is the one who scores the goals”, Zidane said about Cristiano’s importance.

One of the big doubts in Zidane’s line up is who we play Isco or Bale, but he didn’t want to give any clue about this topic: “I’m not going to tell you who’s going to play. They are two players who can play together. When I see the player I have, I know that everyone is ready to play. What interests me is that we are all fit and that’s very important in these type of clash”.

Massimiliano Allegri, Daniel Alves and Gigi Buffon spoke in press conference before the last training session at the Millennium Stadium of Cardiff. Juventus are getting ready for the final and they don’t want to think about losing again, as they did two years ago at Berlin against FC Barcelona.

One of the greatest rivalries in the game would be Dani Alves-Marcelo, two Brazilian defenders who love to attack: “This final is very especial for me because I can be with great players. Everybody wants to play this game and we are privileges ones. We have to enjoy the moment and try to turn the most especial evening”.

The Brazilian defender also wanted to speak about the last final played between Juventus and Real Madrid. Besides, Alves is the player who has been able to beat more times Real Madrid: “They will be scared, won’t they? They will be more careful and they won’t say they are so favourites…. People say they won the last Champions League with a goal in offside. We are try to play with fear to Real Madrid”.

The captain Gigi Buffon also spoke in press conference in one of his last games in his career. The goalkeeper wants to lift the Champions League trophy for the first time in his career: “It will be the perfect end for my career. People like to be sentimental about this”:

The manager, Massimiliano Allegri, wanted to give some keys about how to win the trophy: “We have to be convinced that we are going to bring the cup home. We have to be more convinced and sacrifice ourselves more”.

The coach defended Gonzalo Higuaín’s performance: “Higuaín doesn’t need to show anything, he’s an excellent player. I’m sure he will play a great game”. Allegri was also asked about Dybala: “Dybala has grown a lot as a player. He has a lot of personality. I don’t think he will be affected by the pressure. I heard we lost a lot of finals. Tomorrow is the final and we don’t have to think about what happened 50 years ago. We only need a bit of luck. We are convinced that we can win, always with humility”.

Finally, the manager spoke about the different feelings with the final at Berlin: “In 2015 we weren’t so convinced. This year is different. Our approach to the games is different. We’ve grown a lot”, he finished.

Real Madrid will play next Saturday in Cardiff their 15th Champions League final and they will look to win their 12th European title in a very difficult final against one of the best defensive teams in the world, Juventus. For these type of clashes there’s plenty of extra incentive for the players and Florentino Pérez will pay a massive bonus of €1.5M for each player.

On Saturday, Real Madrid players are looking to win their second Champions League in a row, something that any team has not been able to so far. It won’t be easy because Juventus have a very complete side with players that have a lot of quality and with experience. Florentino Pérez wants to win this title and he arrived to an agreement with the captains of the squad in the bonus they will receive if they win the title at Cardiff. Real Madrid will pay €1.5M per player if they achieve the Champions League but this includes also the FIFA Club World Cup. This will double the amount of money the players review last season when they won Atlético Madrid in the final at Milan.

Last season, the club paid a total of €32M in bonuses to the playing and coaching staff, which meant an amount of €700.000 per player for winning the Champions League final at Milan and an additional of €100.000 for beating Barcelona at Camp Nou in El Clásico.

If Real Madrid win the Champios League against Juventus they could receive, after closing the market-pool, more that €80M because of their trajectory and the final success. While Juventus thanks to it’s greater presence in the Italian market and the lesses competition of the rest of the team of their country, they will be the team that will receive more money, as it happened two years ago, when they were defeated by Barcelona in the final at Berlin.
